    Ep. 120 - Other Mommy
    2026/10/16
I’ve said it a lot this year, but is "Other Mommy" the most bizarre movie of 2026?
In my latest episode, I dive deep into Rob Savage's new supernatural horror film starring Jessica Chastain and Jay Duplass. While the story leaves us with a ho-hum ending and a bland narrative, you can't deny the incredible creature design and terrifying set pieces! From creepy ceiling dances at parties to chaotic ball pit terror at a Kids Play Zone, there are plenty of wild gags that horror fans won't want to miss.
Are the visuals enough to save this adaptation of Josh Malerman's 'Incidents Around the House'? Tune in to hear the full breakdown, rants on indie filmmaking, critic reviews, and more.

Ep. 119 - Dusty Saunders Interview ("Big City Pizza"/ Blotto Films)
    2026/09/28
Catching Dusty Saunders’ flick Big City Pizza at the Amazing Fantasy Film Fest blew me away. The setup is pretty straightforward: Boney, a skeleton pizza delivery guy, navigates Big City on the night of the massive Omni Ball Championship. Blotto Films takes you on a surreal, mind-bending ride exploring what it really means to exist, landing somewhere far outside of sanity.
If you’re hitting the festival circuit, do yourself a favor and check out Big City Pizza. Head over to the Blotto Films YouTube channel right now to dive into Saunders’ wild universe and watch the rest of their work.

Ep. 118 - Mia'Kate Russell interview (Penny Lane is Dead writer/director)
    2026/09/14
After watching Mia’Kate Russell's latest movie Penny Lane is Dead, I was fully prepared to write a review. It’s totally clear she’s a massive horror junkie who has a serious passion for the genre and knows exactly how to make a story work. But then I figured... why write a review when I can just talk to her directly?
So, I brought Mia’Kate onto the pod to chat about all things filmmaking, makeup effects, and how she crafted this spooky season gem! This was an excellent convo. I felt like I was talking to an old friend and we couldn't stop talking horror.
Do yourself a favor: go over to Shudder, use their free trial offer and start streaming Penny Lane is Dead right now.
