Hey Sis 💛

Not every feeling, urge, or reaction deserves the final say.

Today we’re studying Galatians 5:16–21, where Paul gets very practical about what it looks like to live by the Spirit instead of simply following whatever our flesh wants in the moment.

And Sis, this one may step on a few toes.

Because sometimes the question isn’t whether we know what’s right.

Sometimes we know exactly what’s right and still feel pulled in the opposite direction.

But Galatians reminds us that the struggle itself doesn’t mean God is finished with us.

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s repentance, surrender, and learning to follow the Holy Spirit one decision at a time.

So before you respond, react, or make that next move, maybe there’s one question worth asking:

Is this my flesh speaking, or is the Holy Spirit leading me?

It only takes one small lie to make us question a whole lot of truth.

Today we’re studying Galatians 5:1–15, where Paul gives the Galatians a strong reminder:

Christ has set you free—so stay free.

They had been running their race well, but other voices had started creating confusion about what they needed to do in order to be right with God.

And Sis, with so many voices competing for our attention today, that reminder matters for us too.

Not every teaching, opinion, piece of advice, or thought deserves permission to shape what we believe.

So when life gets loud and something starts pulling you away from what you know to be true, where do you return?

Back to God’s Word.

Sometimes control looks less like being “controlling” and more like quietly deciding, “I’ll just handle this myself.”

Today we’re studying Galatians 4:21–31, where Paul takes us back to the story of Abraham, Sarah, Hagar, Isaac, and Ishmael to show the difference between human effort and trusting the promise of God.

And Sis, this one hits close to home.

Waiting can make us want to help God along. Uncertainty can make us create our own plans. And before we know it, we’re carrying something God never asked us to control.

But there is freedom in remembering:

You don’t have to force what God is still working out.

Freedom can feel unfamiliar when bondage is what we’ve known.

Today we’re studying Galatians 4:8–20, where Paul continues pleading with the Galatians not to return to the very things Christ had already freed them from.

And Sis, sometimes that pull backward is real.

Old beliefs. Old habits. Religious expectations. The pressure to prove that we’re doing enough.

Paul keeps repeating himself because the message matters that much:

Don’t trade the freedom Jesus gave you for another form of bondage.

Grace changes the whole story.

And that truth challenges a mindset we hear all the time:

“They got what they deserved.”

Because Sis, if our relationship with God were based solely on getting what we deserved, we’d all be in trouble.

But the gospel gives us something entirely different.

Grace. Mercy. Forgiveness. Adoption.

Not because we earned it—but because of Jesus.

You do not need a spiritual middleman to get to God.

Today we’re studying Galatians 3:6–29, where Paul continues breaking down the difference between living by the law and being made right with God through faith.

And there’s a truth tucked inside this passage that I really want us to sit with:

Because of Jesus, you have access to God for yourself.

Yes, there is power in asking other believers to pray with you. But Sis, someone else’s prayers aren’t somehow more important, more powerful, or more likely to reach God because of their title, ministry, or position.

So if you’ve ever felt more comfortable asking someone else to pray than bringing your own heart directly to God, this one is for you.

He wants to hear from you.

Grace can be easy to believe for everyone else—and somehow much harder to believe for ourselves.

Today we’re studying Galatians 3:1–7, where Paul brings the Galatians back to a truth they already knew:

They began by faith.

And Sis, sometimes we need that same reminder.

When we make mistakes, fall short, or feel like we should be “doing better,” it can become easy to slip into performance mode and start acting as if God’s love, help, or approval depends on how well we’re doing.

But Galatians 3 points us back to faith.

We don’t begin with grace and then graduate into earning our way forward.

So what would it look like to stop measuring your relationship with God by your performance—and stand firmly on what Jesus has already done?

People-pleasing has a way of making us second-guess what we already know is true.

Today we’re studying Galatians 2:11–21, where Paul confronts Peter after fear of criticism begins influencing the way he lives.

Peter knew the truth. But when certain people entered the room, his actions started telling a different story.

And Sis, that can happen to us too.

We can know who we are in Christ and still find ourselves adjusting, shrinking, performing, or changing how we move because of someone else’s opinion.

But Galatians 2 brings us back to one of the most important truths of the gospel:

We are made right with God through faith in Jesus, not through performance.

There is freedom in no longer living for approval you were never called to earn.
