Demetrius Knight Jr. and Barrett Carter are lighting up the Bengals’ defense this season, turning heads with explosive plays in their opening game against Tampa Bay—Knight snagged a fumble-return TD, while Carter racked up eight tackles, a half-sack, and a forced fumble. Coaches raved about their speed, instincts, and leadership, especially Carter’s radio helmet command and ability to call defensive adjustments on the fly. With no new linebackers added this offseason, their early dominance is proving crucial as the team reshapes its defense. Their chemistry, freedom to play, and natural talent suggest they’re not just stepping up—they’re anchoring the unit. Can they keep this momentum rolling?

Russell Wilson drops a bold prediction: if the Bengals don’t turn things around this season, Joe Burrow could demand a trade. Though he admits he doesn’t want Burrow to leave, Wilson insists the QB’s drive to be an all-time great and his frustration with losing make him primed to bolt if things stay bleak. With Burrow’s massive contract and Cincinnati’s improved defense, Wilson believes the pressure is on the organization to protect their star — or risk watching him walk away to greener pastures.
