• Keep Walking: What Jericho Teaches Us About Waiting for the Wall to Fall
    2026/11/03

The wall didn’t fall on day one, and yours might not either. In this episode, we look at the story of Jericho and what it teaches us about staying faithful while we wait for breakthrough.

If you’ve been taking the next step, trusting the process, and still wondering why nothing has changed yet, this episode is for you. Before Jericho’s walls ever came down, God’s people had to walk around the city once a day for six days, with nothing visibly happening. We'll unpack three truths from that story: some walls don’t fall on day one, obedience isn’t wasted even when it looks repetitive, and breakthrough comes after faithfulness, not instead of it. This episode continues the series started in Episode 46 (living intentionally) and Episode 47 (seeing God’s faithfulness in your past).

  • Seeing God in Your Past: From Regret to Remembrance
    2026/10/20

The same past you’ve been calling a record of regret might actually be a record of God’s provision. In this episode, I share how to look back at your life, not to relive regret, but to recognize God’s hand and grace through every season, even the hard ones.

If you’ve ever wondered how to live intentionally when you’re still carrying mistakes, wasted years, or things you wish you’d done differently, this episode picks up right where last week’s left off.

Rooted in Psalm 77:11-12, we'll walk through how the same memory can tell two different stories depending on the lens you use, how nothing is wasted in God’s hands, even your own choices, and how seeing God’s faithfulness in your past actually fuels the courage to move forward today.

You’ll also hear the story of Joseph, who was honest about what was done to him, and still saw God’s hand working through it for good. Grab a notebook and pen and join us.

    • A simple reflection exercise to revisit one season you’ve always called a regret

    This week’s reflection question:

    1. Where might God have actually been present in this season, even if I didn’t see it then?
    2. What did this season build in me that I wouldn’t have otherwise?
    3. How does seeing it differently change how I move forward today?

  • From Career to Calling: How to Advance into Your New Season After 50
    2026/10/01

Have you spent decades building a career only to feel God nudging you toward something more — something deeper — something that feels less like a job and more like a calling? In this episode of Life After 50, we are talking about one of the most significant shifts a woman can make after 50 — moving from a career that defined her to a calling that was always inside her. Your career was never your final destination. It was preparation. Join us today as we uncover three powerful ways to advance out of your career season and into the new season God has been preparing for you all along — designed specifically for Christian women over 50 who are ready to move forward with purpose, clarity and faith.
    In this episode we cover:

    • Why your career was never your calling — and how to tell the difference
    • How to recognize when God is transitioning you from one to the other
    • What the Bible says about advancing into new seasons of purpose
    • Three practical steps to move forward from career into calling right now
    • How to stop waiting for permission and start advancing into what God has next

    Scriptures referenced:Jeremiah 29:11

    • Proverbs 16:3 NLT
    • Isaiah 43:18-19 NLT
    • Philippians 3:13-14
    • Psalm 37:23 NLT
    • Ephesians 2:10 NLT

    This week's action steps:

    1. Write down the difference between what your career required of you and what truly lights you up — that gap is where your calling lives
    2. Commit one specific next step to God today using Proverbs 16:3 — write it down and pray over it by name
    3. Take one action this week toward your calling — not your career — one intentional step forward

  • Are You Mourning Who You Used to Be?
    2026/09/15

A song, a photo, an old memory — and suddenly you're aching for a version of life that's already gone. In this episode, we ask a question that might sting a little: are you mourning who you used to be? We look at Lot's wife, who looked back and paid for it, and the Israelites, who longed for Egypt but forgot the chains that came with it. If you've ever caught yourself wishing you could go back, this episode will help you see why pressing forward — not backward — is where God's best for you is waiting. Life After 50
    In this episode:

    ● Why looking back can divide your heart from what God's doing now
    ● The danger of romanticizing a past God already delivered you from
    ● What Philippians 3:14 teaches about pressing toward what's ahead
    ● How to set your eyes on the hills instead of the past

Scripture referenced: Philippians 3:14, Luke 17:32 (Remember Lot's wife), Numbers 14 (Israel longing for Egypt), Matthew 19:26

  • Are You Procrastinating or Moving Forward (For Christian Women Over 50)
    2026/09/05

Are you procrastinating, or are you moving forward with what God has for you?

Last week we talked about how God is preparing to introduce you to the world — and the question was simple: are you ready? This week, we go a layer deeper. It's easy to slip back into old habits, and it takes real effort to keep moving forward. We stop. We start. We hesitate.
In this episode, we unpack what procrastination, hesitation, and self-sabotage really look like — and why they're not always intentional. Sometimes they show up unconsciously, in the little things we do without noticing. Other times, they're rooted in fear or self-doubt. We ask the harder question underneath it all: is your hesitation really about doubting God and the work He's doing in your life?
While Scripture doesn't use the word "procrastination," it has plenty to say about diligence and taking prompt action.

We look to Proverbs 6:6-8 and Proverbs 13:4 for a picture of quiet, faithful diligence — moving without needing to be pushed — plus 2 Timothy 1:7 on facing fear, and Galatians 6:9 on not giving up before the harvest.
If you're a Christian woman over 50 who feels caught between starting and stalling, this episode is for you. Walk away with practical, faith-rooted steps to recognize self-sabotage, trust God's timing, and take the next diligent step forward.
    In this episode:

    ● Why hesitation is rarely just about the task — it's often about trust
    ● What self-sabotage really looks like in midlife and beyond
    ● What Proverbs 6:6-8 and Proverbs 13:4 teach us about diligence without being told
    ● Practical steps to move from stalling to steady, faithful action

    Scripture referenced:

    Proverbs 6:6-8, Proverbs 13:4, 2 Timothy 1:7, Galatians 6:9
