  • Episode 2: Chet Arthur, kicker of butts
    2025/11/11

Betsy and Matt dive into Episode 1 and discover that Chet Arthur is...the muscle of the Conkling operation? We honestly didn't expect to find our man ready to give out beatdowns. Anyway, the show gets off to a flying start and so do we.

  • Episode 3, in which Chet gets more of a story arc than any of us could have anticipated!

  • Episode 6: The Chet don't stop
    2025/11/18

We've finished the Netflix show but, somehow, not the podcast. Betsy and Matt expand the RBCU (Republican Bearded Cinematic Universe) and pick up where the show leaves off - the Chet Presidency, 19th Century America's most intriguing mystery woman (Julia Sand), and the weird places the Chet progeny go. It's not a finale so stay tuned for our special guest on Episode 7.

  • Episode 7: The one with Scott Greenberger, professional Chetologist
    2025/11/20

Did we get Nick Offerman as a guest? Or did we get someone even more Chetastic?

Scott Greenberger, author of "The Unexpected President - the Life and Times of Chester A. Arthur" joins us as we discuss the real-life Chet, how the Neflix show made good choices and could've made even better ones, and waxes poetic on getting to know what we know of Julia Sand. Scott does an important ranking that shows he's got more gumption than Matt does.

This episode concludes the show's first run of Big Chet Energy, but we'll be back as duty calls, and by "duty" we mean "Nick Offerman." Nick, call us.
