With a devastating recent health diagnosis, Carrie reflects on a lesson learned on a vacation in Mexico in 2017.

After two weeks in the hospital and her pain never below a 10 on the pain scale, Carrie learns life lessons and purpose in her pain tolerance.

Carrie is told there is a high probability she will not make through her final surgery on her leg. Faced with her mortality she comes to some deep and personal truths and brings them to God: "Please just don't let me wake up from surgery!"

After being brought out of a medically induced coma, Carrie's doctor encourages her to make three goals to keep her motivated during her upcoming long and painful recovery.
