Strap in for what's sure to be the saddest episode ever of this young podcast.
We all know what's coming in the dramatic conclusion of "What Remains," but Carole still manages to move us with her haunting prose. As she says goodbye to Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, John F. Kennedy Jr. and her husband Anthony Radziwill, we try not to get too verklempt.
The only thing that's missing is a sequel about Carole's time in London. Yes, we know she wrote a roman à clef called "The Widow's Guide to Sex and Dating." But since it's a novel, we won't be tackling it here.
Instead, next week we will take a truly deranged and borderline offensive 180: we're gonna read Ramona Singer's "Life on the Ramona Coaster." This divorce memoir is truly the "Heartburn" of the Housewives world. Which makes Ramona the Nora Ephron. Are we comfortable with that? Not really, but it's true!
