We challenge the “church customer” mindset that teaches kids to grade sermons instead of care for their pastor as a real person carrying real weight. We lay out a biblical framework for honor and prayer, then give simple family habits that build encouragement and accountability without putting leaders on a pedestal.
• noticing how kids absorb a consumer posture at home
• why “service provider” church culture damages mutual shepherding
• Hebrews 13:17 and how a church affects a pastor’s joy
• esteeming leaders highly in love and giving double honor
• praying for pastors by name with specific needs
• guarding what we say about the pastor at home
• helping kids encourage with notes, cards, and remembered truths
• checking on pastors and their families like any other church member
• rejecting two counterfeits: constant critique or blind pedestal praise
• holding truth and love together through respectful accountability
