    Host: Mark Murphy MBE
    Guest: Angela Pease

In Episode 21 of the Cancer Support Suffolk Podcast, host Mark Murphy MBE speaks with Angela Pease about her personal cancer journey and the vital role that early detection played in her diagnosis.

Angela shares her experience of completing a FIT (Faecal Immunochemical Test), a simple home screening test used to help detect signs of bowel cancer. What seemed like a routine test ultimately led to the discovery of her cancer, highlighting just how important it is to complete and return the screening kit when it arrives.

During this open and honest conversation, Angela discusses:

    • Her cancer diagnosis following a FIT Test.
    • The importance of taking part in bowel cancer screening.
    • Her experience with Cancer Support Suffolk.
    • The support and guidance available to those affected by cancer.
    • Why early detection can save lives.

Angela's story is both powerful and inspiring. Through sharing her experience, she hopes to encourage others not to ignore their FIT Test and to seek medical advice if they have any concerns about their health.

This episode delivers an important message: a few minutes spent completing a FIT Test could make all the difference. Early diagnosis can significantly improve treatment options and outcomes, and Angela's journey is a testament to the value of cancer screening programmes.
