  • HEART-TO-HEARTS AND HEAT WAVES
    2025/06/26

In this bite-sized solo episode with Marie, she wants you to crank your AC, grab an ice cold drink, sit back and relax listening to some of her thoughts on Oh Mary! on Broadway, the movie Materialists, ice cream shop etiquette and how she feels about asking your server what his/her favorite dish is. Consider all this a salad of Manic or Mature Marie stories.

Then, she dives into some of the things that have been crossing her mind lately on self-love, what it really means, how it really feels, the discomfort that comes with it and the beauty of fully accepting yourself. She also shares reconnecting with someone from her past that helped her practice surrendering her ego and getting in touch with her deepest vulnerabilities. Minding her own business, trying to be less judgmental and limiting her screen time to prevent herself from doomscrolling are also a few things brought up.

Then, the episode ends with Marie's Munchies on a Filipino dessert: Halo-halo. It is a refreshing shaved ice dessert known for its vibrant colors and diverse mix of sweet ingredients like fruits, beans, jellies, sugar palm fruit, and leche flan, often topped with ice cream and evaporated milk/coconut milk. This dessert is often served in a tall clear glass with a long spoon allowing

  • STARTING SUMMER W/ SILLY STORIES, INTROVERTS AND EXTROVERTS
    2025/06/18

It's an extra feel-good go-with-the-summer-flow episode today with Nadya and Marie. An incredible show at the Public Theatre (Goddess) sparks this summer's show etiquette rant from Marie. *Hold for Gen-Z rant.* Spatial awareness, a subway girlhood story, fireworks and animals are some of this week's catch-ups.

This week's Normal or Neurotic Nadya story is about an injured bird and a nest that took two hours to build. New respect for the bird community.

Then, the ladies talk about some ideas they have for the summer and talk about some concerns each one of them have as an introvert and extrovert. Stick around for the silly stories and giggles in between.

The episode ends with Marie's Munchies on a homemade version of a guava cheese empanada. Is it Cuban? Spain? Brazil? The Caribbean? All we know is that it's the perfect snack!

    Thanks for talking!

  • EMBRACE THE CRINGE
    2025/06/04

It's our 50th episode! Come for the usual segments, stay for the confidence pep talk in embracing your cringe! The episode opens with catch ups on feeling seen on Reddit, tummy time as a way to reduce tech neck, a reminder not to wait for a “fancier” or more "formal" moment to wear that outfit or accessory this summer, husband energy and more.

This week's Normal or Neurotic Nadya story is about her late-night chase and attempt at rescuing a lost dog on the streets.

Then, they discuss how creating this podcast was a leap of faith in willing to be cringe at first and follow through with their ideas. They talk about how learning to embrace your cringe builds confidence, how it's a stepping stool to success and how the fear of cringe blocks us from success. Embarrassment unites us more than we think and it’s an understated emotion that could use more of our curiosity. They also talk about how to stop caring about what people think, testing ourselves, our relationships with sharing personal and professional highlights on social media.

The episode ends with Marie's Munchies on Balthazar- an NYC institution. Come for the food, stay for the vibes. If you know, you know. And if you don't, it's about time you know!

    Thanks for talking!

  • DATING FATIGUE
    2025/05/07

New York Spring is in full swing! M&N catch up over the latest news, news fatigue, the Amish getting a year in the 'real world' and the concept of Mormons 'soaking', and not caring about what people have to say about you.

This week's Mature or Manic story is about a recent situation the ladies found themselves in at a Midtown Manhattan bar after Marie's show at the theatre. Scottish men in kilts, aggressive behavior and slurring your words at women- a recipe for disaster.

Then they talk about dating fatigue, reasons why we feel it, ways to avoid burnout and a recap on Love On The Spectrum Season 2 that ties in with all the dating fatigue points they discuss.

The episode ends with Nadya's Nomnoms on Scarpetta, an oldie but a goodie in the NYC scene. Go to this upscale locale for the cool vibe and stay for the handmade pastas and the rest of their sophisticated Italian menu. The simple pomodoro was a hit for Nadya when she recently went! Yum!
