  • YOUR TWENTIES: LETDOWNS AND LESSONS IN LETTING GO
    2025/09/17
    • The ladies do a deep dive into Netflix documentary Unknown Number: The Highschool Catfish and their relief of not having to grow up with access to the internet and iPhones.

This episode's Normal or Neurotic Nadya story is about a Jay Shetty sighting at an Ayurvedic dinner with a friend. What type of celebrities need to be exiting through the back and which ones can just walk straight through the front door?

Then, they reflect over Nadya's unmet expectations in her twenties. As she is about to enter her final year of this decade in just a few months, she shares her vulnerable thoughts, fears and desire to have a change of attitude in terms of manifesting and adapting the life she wants. Looking at what is in front of us and not just what's missing, breaking up with a current mindset that's not productive, redefining success and fulfillment and loosely building a new vision are takeaways from this episode one can carry into any stage of life.

Marie's Munchies is on Claud- a sleek, stylish restaurant with a shared plates menu, ingredient-focused cooking and a seasonal menu as well as a few fixed favorites. Come for classic, simple sounding dishes that explode with flavor. Visit Penny- their sister restaurant just a floor above. A wonderful raw bar and seafood restaurant.

  • THE POWER OF JUST STARTING: BUILDING HABIT, DISCIPLINE AND MOTIVATION
    2025/09/03

Taylor Swift's divorce album, the hilarious clips from Cardi B's trial and men listening to their spleen (gut??) on Love is Blind UK Season 2– enjoy these silly laughs before Marie and Nadya dig deep into today's topic.

This episode's Normal or Neurotic Nadya story is about trying to nail the perfect passport picture. Am I smiling too much? Does my hair look ok? How much make-up can I wear? Can you see my ears? Do I look shiny? Can I call my mom??? Why does it have to be this hard?!?

The "ber" months are officially upon us and the ladies start the last quarter of the year with some honest talks on actionables that work for them in building habits and routines. They also talk about how to stay on track on days of feeling discouraged or inconsistent in their habits and what the importance of discipline is. This episode is your reminder that passion, motivation, routine, discipline and good habits are something we can all start any day of the year. It is up to us to rewire our brains!

The episode ends with Marie's Munchies on seafood towers/platters that include shrimp cocktail, oysters, crab legs, lobster etc. Labor Day may have marked the unofficial end of summer but it's never too late to indulge on fresh seafood!

  • LONG DISTANCE FRIENDSHIPS
    2025/08/27

On today's episode, Marie's been fighting some flu-like symptoms the last few days but Nadya's becoming a more positive person so it's basically a Freaky Friday situation here on Can You Talk so all is well!

From friendship housekeeping and catchups to laughing gas and wisdom teeth surgery stories to funny birthday cake dedications, the ladies have a great introduction before jumping into the Manic or Mature Marie story about excitedly walking to a callback and getting a mentally unwell person yell unexpected profanities at you. No such thing as a boring Sunday morning in New York City, that's for sure.

Then, the ladies talk about long-distance friendships, the challenges that come with it, the effort it takes to put into communication, the different expectations two people might have, the emotional toll it takes on someone, why these friendships either work or don't work and why some friendships thrive better with space/distance.

Finally, Nadya's Nomnoms is on @thepastaqueen's (Nadia Caterina Munno) cookbook. Come for the pasta love, stay for the a la vodka sauce recipe! Yum!

  • "I CAN'T CONNECT WITH PEOPLE": WHY YOU MIGHT FEEL THIS WAY
    2025/08/20

Who would be on your "these people deserve to be in purgatory" list? Do you feel like you have 30 tabs open in your head? How many of those are spam or pop-ups? Wouldn't it be great if your therapist gifted you a white noise machine or cute pajamas to celebrate therapy milestones? Why are there Fall decorations on the shelves?! The ladies have a lot of questions!

This week's Normal or Neurotic Nadya story is about an event she RSVP's for without quite knowing the details– turns out it's a wellness event with a DJ. Fancy deep house music or EDM while in a cold plunge or sauna? Very random. Very New York.

Then, they talk about why connecting with people might feel like a struggle these days. Research from the Harvard University also confirms the Gen-Z stare and ever-changing social norms. They also discuss their own insecurities on forming connections, maintaining connections and how they deal with it.

The episode ends with Marie's Munchies on a new restaurant on Thompson and Bleeker – Chateau Royale. From the team behind Libertine, this refined and elegant venue feels like old New York and where one could easily imagine Carrie on a date with Big for a delicious French New York meal and a martini. And just like that... the episode wraps.

  • SHOULD I GOSSIP LESS?
    2025/08/13

Today's Mature or Manic Marie story is about seeing friends for the first time after years, some over a decade, and picking up exactly where you left off. Friendships from different stages of your life are some of the most beautiful and bittersweet relationships we experience.

Then, they get into the topic of the act of gossiping–how much we should be gossiping? Is gossip necessary? What research shows it having positive effects on us mentally and physically? How does intent matter behind gossiping? How is gossip similar and different in other cultures? What are the degrees to gossiping? This episode is a perfect chance to reflect on your habits around gossip.

The episode ends with Nadya's Nomnoms on a new trending beverage- a cloud foam drink. Nadya tries a coconut matcha drink that really has some interesting effects...
