This podcast is about travelling in Cambodia as a matter of daily life, not just a list of sights. The monsoon season runs from May to November, the dry season from December to April, and the land is mostly low plains with mountains in the southwest and north. Those rhythms shape every journey.

The host moves through the country in connected stages: Phnom Penh, the capital on the Mekong; the Tonle Sap lake; the Cardamom Mountains in the southwest; and the river towns that rely on the annual flood pulse. Each place is considered on its own terms, away from the usual circuit.

Across a couple of years, the show builds its own calendar. He returns to the same towns in different seasons, watching the dry landscape brown out and then green up when the monsoon arrives. The pace is deliberate: settle, learn, move somewhere connected, and let the knowledge accumulate.

Sokha Chan lives in Cambodia and stays for two years, moving between cities, coastlines and smaller towns on a route that follows the seasons. Not a week-long visit — Sokha is there in every kind of weather, working out where to eat on an ordinary Tuesday, which train to take, what a festival actually feels like from the pavement.

A new episode arrives every day. Each one is short and specific: one neighbourhood, one journey, one meal, one museum worth the detour — with the practical detail that matters. What it costs. When it closes. Whether the queue is worth it. What to do when it rains. Every episode carries a full transcript and chapter markers.
