What happens when God's will is different from what we wanted?

Hebrews 11:20 introduces us to the faith of Isaac, a man whose personal preferences collided with God's sovereign purpose. Though his household was marked by weakness and deception, Isaac ultimately submitted to what God had determined. This message explores the providence of God, the certainty of His promises, and the kind of faith that trusts His Word even when His plans differ from our own.

Faith doesn't just say Amen when God does what we want. It says Amen when His will prevails.

Of all the benefits God has given us, which one should cause us to praise Him most?

Psalm 103 calls us to bless the Lord and forget not all His benefits. As an addendum to the Remember series, this message turns our attention to the greatest benefit of all: our salvation in Jesus Christ. From election and calling to justification, adoption, perseverance, and final glorification, we are reminded that salvation is the work of our gracious God from beginning to end.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.

What happens to the lessons God taught us in hard seasons when the season changes?

Deuteronomy 8 reminds us that God did not waste Israel’s wilderness. He used it to humble them, expose their hearts, teach them dependence, and prepare them for what was ahead. But when abundance came, a new danger appeared: they could enjoy God’s blessings and forget the One who gave them. This message calls us to remember what the Lord taught us in the wilderness and let those lessons continue to govern our hearts when life gets better.

Don’t remember the wilderness and forget the Lord.
