Dr. Keith Sherlin teaches that Christians should seek to preserve a just and moral society while defending religious freedom, rejecting both secular humanism and attempts to use the power of government to force Christianity upon the nation. Instead, believers are called to be salt and light, trusting the gospel and the work of the Holy Spirit to change hearts while upholding natural law, freedom of conscience, and the liberty to proclaim Christ.

Pastor Dan taught that Jesus Christ is the supreme authority over marriage because He is God, the Creator of marriage, and the One who holds all things together. Christian marriages flourish when husbands love their wives sacrificially as Christ loves the church and wives respect and submit to their husbands according to God’s design. Healthy, stable marriages are built by looking to Christ and following His Word rather than the changing opinions of the world.

Pastor Dan explains that Christians are called to live radically different lives because they have been transformed by Jesus Christ. Rather than being driven by selfishness, greed, or the desire to win, believers should exercise biblical judgment, seek God’s glory and the good of others, and remember that in Christ they have been washed, sanctified, and justified.
