The Prison Glow-Up: Rejecting any image of a suffering inmate, Gypsy proudly tells Nona that she is no longer "transparent" like she was in county, boasting that she has a fresh tan and is wearing "real makeup" behind bars. Cashing In On BuzzFeed: Gypsy celebrates Michelle Dean's BuzzFeed article reaching millions of readers, actively using the public sympathy to plot her next career move: spending her seven and a half years in prison planning and writing a highly profitable book. Is there not one decent person around her to tell her maybe she should do her time, heal, and tell the truth. Not a single one of them. This woman was DD's friend.
