Calgary just became the latest Canadian city to send drones to 911 calls before officers even arrive — but they're not the first, and they won't be the last.

Tonight I break down which police forces across Canada are already doing this, what these drones can actually see and record, and why Mark Carney announcing a massive new Canadian drone industry the same week — in the same city — is worth paying attention to.

We cover:

The 7 Canadian police forces already using or testing Drone-as-First-Responder programs

What the Skydio X10 drones Calgary is using can actually detect — plate numbers, faces, people from miles away

Why "nothing is being recorded" doesn't mean what police want you to think it means

Section 8 of the Charter and what "reasonable expectation of privacy" actually protects — and doesn't

The legal gray zone above your own house that most Canadians don't know exists

Carney and Zelenskyy's drone announcement — and the same-week, same-city timing with Calgary's police drone rollout
