Is it really polygamy, or is it just cheating with a different name?
In this episode of Conversations With Miss Marcie, we're talking about polygamy versus monogamy and why some people may use the term polygamist to justify having relationships outside of their primary partnership.
There's more to polygamy and consensual non-monogamy than simply having the freedom to be intimate with other people. These relationship dynamics involve honesty, communication, mutual understanding, and the knowledge and consent of the people involved.
If you're stepping outside your relationship without your partner's knowledge or agreement, let's call it what it is: cheating. You don't get to redefine dishonesty by giving it a different label.
