Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans face mounting scrutiny as questions swirl about team culture, defensive struggles, and future leadership in Los Angeles. Is Riley the right coach to restore USC’s historic dominance, or is a major change looming? Brian Smith and Marc Kulkin dissect the fallout from the controversial Desman Stephens targeting incident, fan reaction to discipline decisions, and the broader state of the program after the Oregon loss.

Key topics include USC’s inconsistency on defense despite high-profile additions like Gary Patterson, concerns about practice physicality, and lingering doubts about locker room leadership. The conversation spotlights the challenges USC faces with an unforgiving Big Ten schedule and rising expectations from a passionate fanbase. As pivotal games against Washington, Penn State, and Ohio State approach, can Riley weather the storm—or is USC headed for another coaching shakeup?
