This summer, we explore themes from popular films alongside Scripture, uncovering how God's truth speaks through the stories we love. From adventure and sacrifice to redemption and hope, each week reminds us that God is present in every part of our story—inviting us into something greater.

This week, we look at a movie that became popular, first, on the theatrical stage - Les Miserables. Les Miz (as it is commonly refered) is first and foremast a parable. A story that is not true or historical, but invites the listener or watcher into it in such a way that the audience wishes it were true because it is relatable. It also leads the audience to take a step of action. Jesus does the same with his parables that he tells. Pastor Karla conveys to us how God reaches us at your worst so He can lift us into our best.
