Special guest Scott Duesing joins Cole and James to recap the events from week 8 of the CBFA season.

The Wildcats secure top spot in Division 1 playoffs, the Cowboys defeat the Lions, and the two games get ugly at the final whistle. Expect some suspensions to be handed out in the next few days.

Congrats to the 50/50 early bird winners! The final draw is this Saturday, October 17, 2026. Grand prize should top $3000 by drawing date/time.

Gordie's 8th Annual Food Fight was a great success again this year! Congrats to the Lions for bringing in the most donations, enjoy your pizza party! Listen to the end to hear James talk with Lisa Tranthum and Diana Campbell of the Canadian Veterans Services Society. It may be difficult to hear some parts, it was a bit windy on Saturday!

Cole and James review the games from week 6, including the Lions narrow victory over the Raiders.

In the other games the Wildcats remain perfect, and the Cowboys and Stampeders keep pace. The Eagles beat the Bulldogs, and the Div 2 picture begins to clarify. Only three more games before playoffs!

This week the games are split between Shouldice (4) and Airdrie (1). The final game of the day looks to be a barn burner, with the Wildcats taking on the Stampeders. Don't forget to wear pink and support the Canadian Cancer Society!

This week James covers the action at Shouldice Park while Cole traveled to Airdrie to cover the Homecoming games.

The Wildcats remain perfect through 7 weeks, and the Cowboys remain a game behind. Stampeders, Lions, and Raiders are competing for 2 Division 1 playoff positions. Between the Bulldogs, Colts, and Chiefs only one will secure a Division 2 playoff spot. The others will play for the chance to travel north for Provincials.

It's a busy weekend coming up in week 8. First, it's the final day for the Pink Sock Initiative, which raised $6600 for the Canadian Cancer Society this year!. Second, it's Gordie's 8th Annual Food Fight: the team that brings in the most donations wins a pizza party!. Finally, it's the Wall of Fame game: just prior to the final game at Hellard Field there will be a wall-of-fame presentation.
