In this episode of Voice2Change by Jane Doe No More, host Jocelyn Maminta talks with survivor, advocate, and author Barb Jenkins. She recounts the stalking and assault that led her to attack, the trauma of reporting and testifying in court, and the devastation of having her perpetrator's conviction overturned. Barb discusses how writing her book has helped her heal and offer hope to fellow survivors, while her forthcoming book continues her story. Her message is direct: Don’t quit. Keep going. You got this. I got you.
Barb Jenkins is a survivor of childhood sexual assault who's journey of healing deepened in 2015 after she was raped in a Missoula public park by a homeless man she had supported through her volunteer work. In the aftermath, she found help and connection through Jane Doe No More, beginning a new chapter of resilience and recovery. Burying Jane Doe is her first book writing about her journey of courage and strength, and she is currently working on a second book that continues her journey through healing.
