- Carol was 46 years old in fall 2011 and had sung in the Lutheran church chorale for eleven years, attending rehearsals Thursdays 7-9 pm.
- Carol's car was found locked at 9:40 pm in the rear lot after the September 8 rehearsal with her phone on the passenger seat and no signs of forced entry.
