Let me start with a picture, and I want you to really see it in your mind. Imagine one of your ancient ancestors waking up at the first light of dawn. No alarm. No snooze button. No phone glowing in the dark. Just the sun coming up over the horizon and a body that is ready to move. That person stands up, stretches out, and steps into a day that will demand almost everything they have. They will walk for miles. They will climb, crouch, carry, throw, and haul. They will hunt, they will gather, they will build, and they will rest deeply when the work is done. Their body is not a problem to be managed. Their body is a tool that is used, hard, every single day, exactly the way it was designed to be used.
Now hold that picture in your mind, and set another one right beside it. Picture a modern human. Picture most of us. We wake up to a screaming alarm. We sit to eat. We sit in the car. We sit at the desk. We sit through the meeting. We sit through dinner. We sit on the couch. And then we lie down, stare at a screen, and wonder why we feel so tired, so stiff, so heavy, and so far from the strong, capable person we know is somewhere inside us.
