What are you building your life on?
In this message, “Building on the Right Foundation,” we look at Jesus’ parable of the wise and foolish builders in Matthew 7:24–29. Both builders heard the words of Jesus. Both faced the storm. But only one house stood firm.
The difference wasn’t the storm—it was the foundation.
Jesus calls us to do more than simply hear His words. He calls us to know Him, obey Him, spend time in His Word and prayer, and surround ourselves with godly community. When we build our lives on success, approval, possessions, relationships, comfort, or anything other than Christ, we’re building on sand. But when Jesus becomes the foundation and cornerstone of our lives, we can stand firm through every storm.
The foundation you lay today determines the kind of house you have tomorrow.
Take a moment to ask yourself: What am I building my life on?
