  • Travel Soccer Costs in Bucks County PA: Erika & Alaina of Falls Soccer Club
    2026/08/18

🚀 Erika paid about $200 a season for travel soccer in New Hampshire. That number does not exist anywhere in Bucks County now, and she says so flatly.

She and Alaina run Falls Soccer Club out of Falls Township Park, a 27-year-old volunteer organization serving more than 600 kids. Erika is president and coaches the 2013 Black team. Alaina is marketing director and had no soccer background at all before her sons started playing. Both hold full-time jobs. Between them they have four boys, and every hour of club work happens around that.

🎧 Anthony Pinto hosts Bucks Co Living and works as a top-producing RE/MAX REALTOR® in Newtown with 16+ years across Bucks County and Montgomery County. He knows what families pay to live in this county. Erika and Alaina know what they pay to keep a kid on the field, and this conversation puts numbers on both. A $250 fall sponsorship. A $500 tournament entry a brand-new team has to solve alone. A Philadelphia Union trainer built into fees at a club that charges less than the ones without one. Plus the sideline habit Erika says pulls a kid out of his own game for minutes at a time.

    🎧 Hosted by: Anthony Pinto

👤 Guests: 🏡 Erika Duszny – President, Falls Soccer Club | 2013 Black Travel Coach

🏡 Alaina Davis – Marketing Director, Falls Soccer Club

Erika Duszny is the President of Falls Soccer Club in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, where she provides strategic direction for intramural and travel soccer programs serving over 600 youth players. Partnering with her is Alaina Davis, the club's Marketing Director, who drives community outreach, digital strategy, and business sponsorships. Together, they oversee player development, regional tournaments, and a premier training partnership with the Philadelphia Union youth program.

    💡 What You'll Learn:

✔️ Find a club that includes professional training without charging double for it

✔️ Recognize what your own voice from the sideline does to your kid, and quit doing it

✔️ Separate real pressure in youth sports from the reputation travel soccer carries

✔️ Reach 600 Bucks County soccer families with a $250 local sponsorship

✔️ Fund a $500 tournament entry before it lands on a parent's invoice

✔️ Step away from a volunteer role while you still care about it

✔️ Protect your kid from the burnout that early single-sport specialization causes

🎵 Support a local club: sponsor a team, register a kid, or share this with a Bucks County parent.

  • Raised by 5 Kitchen Staff, 3 Waitresses, 3 Bartenders | Steve Zettler
    2026/08/11

🚀 Steve Zettler was seven years old, living above his family's inn in 1950s Bucks County, and his parents were too busy running it to raise him.

The staff did instead. Five kitchen help, three waitresses and three bartenders, one of whom spent his day job flipping the switch on the electric chair in Trenton. Steve grew up inside the Washington Crossing Inn back when the stretch between there and New Hope was nothing but farms, and he has now written it down in his memoir Leave the Kid Alone: A Fractured Remembrance.

Anthony Pinto hosts Bucks Co Living and works as a top-producing RE/MAX REALTOR® out of Newtown, PA, with 16+ years as a Realtor, Property Manager and Relocation Specialist. He grew up in restaurants himself, so he knows exactly what Steve means about a family business putting you to work the moment it notices you have opposable thumbs. What comes out is Bucks County community history no listing sheet carries: bourbon poured into teapots to get around Pennsylvania's Sunday drinking ban, three inns in Doylestown, Pipersville and Washington Crossing run by three sisters in one family, and the December 1968 afternoon Steve landed home from Vietnam in uniform and was told to wait his turn.

    🎧 Hosted by: Anthony Pinto

👤 Guest: Steve Zettler – Author | Actor | Marine Corps Combat Veteran

Steve Zettler is an American author, professional actor, and Marine Corps combat veteran. He has penned numerous works of fiction, including standalone international thrillers and the bestselling Nero Blanc Mystery Series, co-authored with his wife. Alongside acting credits in television shows like The Wire and Cold Case, his most recent release is the historical memoir, Leave the Kid Alone - A Fractured Remembrance.

💡 What You'll Learn: ✔️ Seeing the Washington Crossing to New Hope corridor as it was before development ✔️ Understanding what a room and board kitchen job meant to veterans of Iwo Jima and Korea ✔️ Recognizing how Pennsylvania's Sunday drinking ban shaped daily life at a Bucks County bar ✔️ Rethinking what counts as a strange childhood when you assumed everyone lived that way ✔️ Building a memoir out of genuine seven-year-old memory rather than research ✔️ Carrying what a Vietnam homecoming actually felt like in December 1968 ✔️ Making peace with turning into your father ✔️ Tracing a book title back to a Broadway actor and Rocky and Bullwinkle

  • Why She Sends Customers Down the Street | Jess Gebauer, Krysset
    2026/08/04

Jess Gebauer trains her staff to send Krysset customers down the street for gelato. Five years on Main Street in Yardley taught her why.

Anthony Pinto hosts Bucks Co Living and works Bucks County as a RE/MAX REALTOR® and relocation specialist, with 20 years in the market and Best of Bucks #1 agent six years running. He also spent part of his early career chasing walk-ins from a Main Street office in Yardley, back when the block was mostly service businesses.

Jess came at that street from behind a counter. She closed a 20-year jewelry career during the pandemic, opened Krysset in 350 square feet, and researched Yardley's retail history before she signed anything. What she found reframed the whole problem: the town hadn't rejected retail, it had forgotten it ever had any. Her conclusion is that a downtown can't survive on one shop, so she trains staff to send people to Pana, FZ Works, and SA Yoga on purpose.

Hosted by: Anthony Pinto Guest: Jess Gebauer

Jessica Gebauer is a fine artist, jewelry designer, and the owner of Krysset Artisan Boutique in Yardley, Pennsylvania. Drawing on her extensive background as a bench jeweler, she curates handcrafted goods from independent North American makers and actively mentors female entrepreneurs.

    What You'll Learn

    • Turning the shop across the street into your best referral source

    • Spotting why "pity marketing" drives off the customers you need most

    • Reading a downtown's history before you bet a lease on it

    • Getting found by shoppers who were never thinking to look for you

    • Telling well-made apart from merely unique when you buy for a store

    • Keeping a business alive through the worst two years of your life

    • Finding the Bucks County spots locals actually drive out for
