Before Nashville, before Broadway, and before chasing a career in country music, Bryson Cooper’s dream started in a garage in Indiana watching his grandpa play music.
Raised by a single mom and surrounded by a family who made music together, Bryson grew up performing covers in churches and eventually alongside his family in a cover band. Those early years gave him more than a love of performing they gave him the roots that still shape the artist he is becoming.
Three years ago, Bryson made the move from Indiana to Nashville, taking the stage on Broadway and beginning to carve out a country music career of his own.
Bryson joins Lovey to talk about family, home, the people who shaped him, and what it takes to keep pursuing a dream when you’re still in the middle of building it.
And stay for the song: Bryson performs his original “Thinking and Driving” live in the studio—a song he hopes listeners can find a piece of their own story in.
Come for the story. Stay for the song.
