This week on Brothers on Ice, Dad sits down with Jonah, Elijah, and Solomon for one of our most faith-focused conversations yet!

The boys recap their hockey weekends, and Jonah opens up about the frustration of playing well but not getting opportunities on the power play or penalty kill. We talk about respecting coaches, asking for constructive feedback, accepting correction, and learning to grow through challenges rather than becoming discouraged.

But this episode goes far beyond hockey.

What does it really mean to trust God's timing?

How do we show Christ's love through our attitudes, actions, and relationships?

Throughout the episode, we explore Scripture, including Proverbs 3:5–6, Colossians 3:23, James 1:2–4, Philippians 2:3–4, Romans 10:9, and Galatians 5:22–23.

Our message is simple: Hockey doesn't define who we are. Jesus Christ does.

Our worth isn't measured by goals, saves, ice time, or recognition. God has given us opportunities and abilities, and our responsibility is to use them to glorify Him, regardless of the outcome.

We hope this episode encourages young athletes, parents, and families to keep their eyes on Christ, trust Him through life's challenges, and remember what truly matters.

This week on Brothers on Ice, we've got a very special guest joining us for the first time... MOM! ❤️

Blair joins Jamie, Jonah, Elijah, and Solomon for a fun and informative conversation about something every young athlete needs to understand: NUTRITION!

As a board-certified family medicine physician and hockey dad, James shares his medical perspective on nutrition, childhood growth, and athletic performance, while Blair gives us a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to keep a house full of growing hockey players fed and fueled!

We're talking about what to eat before games and practices, how nutrition supports growth and muscle development, the importance of hydration and recovery, and how to make healthy choices while juggling busy hockey schedules.

The boys get to ask Mom some questions, Mom turns the tables on Dad and the boys, and we have plenty of laughs along the way!

But most importantly, we discuss why taking care of our bodies is about more than becoming bigger, stronger, or better hockey players. Our bodies, abilities, and opportunities are gifts from God, and everything we do should bring glory to Him.

Another hockey weekend is in the books, and there’s plenty to talk about!

In Episode 5, Jonah, Eli, and Solomon are back at the table breaking down the latest action on the ice. Jonah talks about his tournament weekend, including a couple of goals and some big moments with his team, while Eli takes us inside the crease after putting together a huge game and earning a SHUTOUT!

We talk about what went right, what still needs work, and some of the fun that happens when you put three hockey-playing brothers behind microphones.

And as always, hockey is only part of the story. We talk about keeping the right perspective, staying humble through the highs, learning through the lows, and remembering who gets the glory through it all.
