Broadway Is My Beat presents “The Ben Justin Murder Case,” originally broadcast on CBS on December 8, 1950. Episode 57 stars Larry Thor as Lieutenant Danny Clover, with Charles Calvert as Sergeant Gino Tartaglia. Written by Morton Fine and David Friedkin and produced and directed by Elliott Lewis, this broadcast closed the series’ initial 1950 run.

During a December holiday season on Broadway, former insurance investigator Ben Justin is found gravely wounded in a dark alley. As Clover and Tartaglia follow the threads of Justin’s unfinished business, an apparently straightforward shooting becomes a tense Manhattan homicide investigation.
