Sandra Watson is a hair colour artist and the director of Koloured Ltd. She has two grown up children and, following her divorce, chose the ‘women’ option on a dating app. Sandra talks about the importance of finding your chosen family and the joy of meeting other black queer women. She also talks about racism in Britain, wanting ‘comrades not allies’ and why it’s never too late to come out.
Joining the LGBTQ+ community later in life can feel daunting. Some of the groups Sandra loves include queer women’s Meetups and Black Pride.
Late in the Gay is a Substack, podcast and community for LGBTQ+ people who came out later in life created by journalist, podcaster and dog mom Yvette Caster.
