Brewers’ 24-year-old ace Jacob Misiorowski is rewriting baseball history, tossing another five scoreless innings to lead his team to a 5-1 win over the Pirates — bringing them one step away from clinching their fourth straight National League Central title. With a jaw-dropping 1.89 ERA and 243 strikeouts, Misiorowski leads MLB in both categories, while the Brewers now sit just one game away from locking down the division and potentially their first-ever 100-win season. They’re also gunning for the best record in baseball, battling the Dodgers and Braves. After watching the Braves-Cubs game with bated breath, the Brewers are already planning a celebration — whether it’s tonight or tomorrow, the championship is almost theirs. Now, with the regular season’s toughest part behind them, the focus turns to rest and postseason prep, starting with Misiorowski, who’s already thrown a career-high 166⅓ innings.
