  • Slowly But Surely, I Began To Remember That I Am Magic
    2026/08/08
Today is August 8th, the peak of the Lion’s Gate Portal. This is a powerful energetic gateway inviting you to reconnect with your own inner wisdom, release what no longer serves you, and align with the life your soul calls for. It’s a time to open yourself to new possibilities and I recommend opening to the magic that’s all around you. To celebrate this day, I’m sharing my own story of how my soul called to me about magic. The Word Is Magic It began with a single word. Magic. But you know that’s not just any word. Magic is a noun, a verb, a way of life. Magic holds the universe together and keeps the planets circling the sun. Even if you can’t quite see or hear or touch magic, you know without question that it is there. Magic is real. At least to some people, like me. During Covid, I felt its pull. Magic beckoned me and I heeded the call. I stumbled on a magic coach who started me with simple things. I loved it. My favorite magic was with a sugar bowl, stirring sweetness into your life. I felt a little bit like Mary Poppins with her spoonful of sugar that made the medicine go down in the most delightful way. But I didn’t need any medicine. I just needed the magic. Friday is Freya’s Day My coach suggested I pick a Goddess to work with and meditate with her every week. She said that Friday was Freya’s day and somehow that felt perfect. I chose Freya, or maybe she chose me. From Norse mythology, Freya is the Goddess of love and war, beauty, fertility, and magic. Oh, of course she is. What a surprise that I felt drawn to her. So, I began a ritual where every Friday, I took a bath to cleanse my energy. I smudged my home to clear that as well. And once complete, I would sit in my chair to meditate and connect with the Goddess Freya. It didn’t take too many tries before I enjoyed a visit from the Goddess herself. She came to me with outstretched arms and a smile. I wasn’t sure what would happen as she moved closer to me, but I stayed open and quite curious. Freya came with healing in mind. She worked on my energy body, clearing and removing old energy, no longer wanted or needed. I could feel the change as a lightness lifted me. While I’m not sure how, something released and I felt free for the first time since…Well, I’m not sure I can even identify such a time. The result were expressed in my art journal piece. I felt free to be my magical self. That me had wings and a very big heart. There were colorful clouds behind me and glittering chunks of rose quartz before me. I smiled brightly at this image once it was finished and still do today as it hangs on my wall. Over time, I came to realize that I had been prevented from connecting with my magic by so many things. I discovered one vow after another, binding me and supposedly keeping me safe from interacting with magic. I must not talk about magic.I must not use any magic.I must not teach or share any magic.I must hide my magic. I don’t know why I made these vows. Was this for my highest good? Was I coerced into these vows by another? I cannot say with any true clarity. But every time I found a vow, the need to shake free was undeniable and overwhelming. And I did, releasing every vow I came upon. So, as a result, I became even freer. Bypassing the Obstacles Magic is boundless, so I found my way around the preventive measures that were meant to keep me apart from this universal life force. Magic is for everyone, of this, I am sure. It’s a natural force waiting for us to discover and interact with. Magic is here to help us live the life we want and to do good things in the world. It is the secret to living a rich full life that’s fun and satisfying. At a craft fair, I bought photographs of letters, captured from architectural elements. Each letter is a different image but put together, they spelled the word MAGIC in the most creative way. I hung the word over my office door. Every time I enter, I now enter the magic. I took a course on blessings. Day one was the blessing of abundance. Day two was good health. Day three was peace. Day four was happiness. Day five was different. I don’t remember what the teacher suggested, but my own blessing welled up within me to be brought forth divinely – I live in the magic. While I had signed up for a 30-day program, I could go no further. What was a bigger blessing than to live in the magic? I’ve lived there ever since. A simple song I had created years back came to me out of the blue. I started to sing it again while I took my daily walk. It’s a short song in a minor key but creates an uplifting feeling. Here are the words: “Life is magical, life is magical, the universe is magic and the magic starts with me. As I open my heart, and expand it trustingly, the Universe does respond to me.” Absolute gold. When did this come to me? I could not remember. Magical Experiences My life continued with discoveries and experiences that could be defined in no other way than simply magical...

  • Intuitive Medicine – Your Body’s Wisdom Is Telling You Something
    2026/08/20
Intuitive Medicine is all about what your body is trying to tell you. When you experience discomfort, fatigue, tension, pain or other symptoms, what if those sensations are giving you clues about what is happening emotionally and energetically in your body and life? That’s the fascinating perspective explored in this episode with Medical Intuitive Christine Lang. We talked about medical intuition, energy, stress, overwhelm, grounding, protecting yourself from other people’s energy, and learning to listen more closely to your own inner wisdom. Get Christine’s Free Gift – a special meditation to learn how to understand the messages from your body. How Christine Got into Intuitive Medicine Christine’s path into medical intuitive wasn’t something she planned. She began her career as an attorney, but during law school she developed severe allergies that continued after graduation and worsened while she working in the corporate world. Eventually, Christine discovered that stress was much of the cause of her body’s discomfort. That realization led her to explore learning that was very different from her legal career, including homeopathy, Tai Chi, yoga, meditation, and Buddhism. Taking Reiki opened another door. During her meditation before working with a Reiki client, Christine began receiving words and phrases that connected to the people she was working work with. At first, she wasn’t sure what to make of it. Then she took a chance and shared one of these impressions with a client, who responded positively. That experience made Christine realize that a new intuitive skill was developing. Christine studied intensely, eventually spending several hours a day developing those abilities. Over time, she worked with clients as a medical intuitive and finally left her legal career, now more than two decades ago. What Does a Medical Intuitive Actually Do? This is interesting – Christine shared that she sees herself as a translator. Rather than focusing on where a person hurts, she looks for the story surrounding the symptom and asks what might have been going on when it first appeared. Her questions for her intuition and then the client include: When did the symptom begin? What was happening at the time? What might the body be trying to bring to their attention? Christine described this as looking for the origin point where stress or an unresolved experience may have begun affecting the body. The goal isn’t just to make a symptom disappear, but to better understand what may be underneath it. Of course, that doesn’t mean every illness has an emotional cause. Our bodies are complicated, and physical symptoms deserve appropriate medical attention. Yet, there can also be value in becoming curious about what else may be happening alongside the physical symptom. Your Body Can Give You Information Your body and mind are very connected even though you might think of them separately. However, your body is constantly responding to your environment, your emotions, your relationships, your thoughts, and your stress levels. You may notice your stomach tighten when you’re around a certain person, or your shoulders tense when you’re under pressure. You feel exhausted after spending time with someone who is emotionally demanding, or suddenly feel lighter after making a decision that feels right. These experiences don’t provide a medical diagnosis, but they can provide important insights. Learning to notice the signals is one way of becoming more connected to your body and aware of what it may be communicating. Why You Might Feel Scattered Or Overwhelmed Christine and I also talked about why so many people feel overwhelmed. Think about how often your attention is divided throughout the day. You’re thinking about work, checking your phone, answering messages, worrying about someone you love, remembering what you forgot to do, and planning what’s next. Your body may be sitting in one place while your attention is everywhere else. Christine’s approach is to bring your energy back toward the center of your body and become more contained rather than scattered. While Christine suggests calling back all of your energy to heighten your intuition, I expand my energy outward to connect with spirit, my guides, ancestors, and higher wisdom. Even though our techniques are different, we both arrive at a similar place, to escape the constant mental clutter and make space for intuitive information. There isn’t one right way to work with your intuition, so the important thing is discovering what works for you. Try Grounding To Center When you’re overwhelmed, grounding can help bring you back into the present moment. Christine noted that instead of allowing yourself to be pulled into everything happening around you, reconnect with your body and the earth. Going outside can be remarkably helpful. Walk through your yard, work in the garden, sit under a tree, or spend a few minutes paying attention to what’s ...

  • August Lunar Eclipse & Pisces Full Moon – What This Means
    2026/08/27
Wondering about the lunar eclipse meaning as it relates to the August full moon in Pisces? Late night on August 27 and into the wee hours of August 28, we had a full moon and a deep lunar eclipse. If you’ve been hearing that this is intense or life-changing, relax. Here’s what’s actually happening in the sky and how to use this moment in a calm, practical way without drama or dire predictions. What Happened in the Sky The lunar eclipse and the full moon are just one event, happening within a couple of hours of each other. It’s called a deep eclipse, although still a partial one, because the Earth’s shadow covered about 96% of the Moon. Not quite total, but close. While this is visually striking, there’s no impending disaster or chaos. You are OK. You don’t need to do anything special for the event, but it’s a useful time to pause, take stock, and make one clear choice that supports your well-being. Full Moon in Pisces This full moon is in Pisces, a sign linked with feelings, imagination, your spiritual life, rest, and intuition. A full moon is traditionally a time to reflect with the aid of that bright moonlight. Take time to notice your current results and make decisions about where you might need to tweak things to improve your outcomes. This is a great time to have compassion for yourself. Take care of your own needs rather than just serving others, and let go of what no longer serves you. Pay attention to any repeated gut feelings or intuitive messages, then check the facts before you dive in and take action. This is especially for any big decisions. If you’re feeling more emotional or tired, eclipses can do that. Honor your feelings. So, if you’re tired, rest. Identify your feelings and work through them. Talk to someone supportive or address your concern as calmly as you can. This is also a time to surrender and admit that you can’t control everything. Loosen the grip and accept what is. Or you make a plan to work toward a goal and do your best without getting worked up about every step along the way. Think about any behaviors you could tweak. If you’re prone to people-pleasing or procrastinating, this is a great time to work on either one. Maybe you’re avoiding a conversation, or you need to work on your financial goals. Now is the time to be honest with yourself and take one strategic action step or simply ask yourself where you need greater clarity in your life right now. Shortcomings of Modern Day Astrology Astrology is meant to give you a snapshot of your life using your birth, or natal, chart. With your chart done, you can see how an astrological event impacts different aspects of your life and where your opportunities look the brightest. It was never meant to be a constant emergency warning system. Today’s modern astrology leans toward psychological or pop astrology, and considered to be a self-help tool. That’s why planetary movements get translated into the similar language. It’s so repetitive. Every event is a time for self-reflection, strengthening boundaries, releasing, and personal growth. That’s why the celestial messages sound so generic, because they are written to appeal to everyone. Back in the day, astrology offered monthly horoscopes which were still sort of general but at least were tailored to your sun sign. Each conjunction or alignment doesn’t impact everybody the same way. Fear, urgency, and anger attract attention and get shared, which is why astrology related headlines often sound so dire. many practitioners resort to catastrophic headlines like, “this eclipse will change everything.” The way I look at this, don’t we already have enough to worry about without piling on a dramatic or ominous astrological events every month. This just adds more negativity to an already overloaded nervous system. A planetary alignment is not an emergency alert. An eclipse is not proof that your life is about to fall apart. If astrology leaves you feeling uneasy, powerless, or convinced disaster is unavoidable, take a step back. That’s not astrological wisdom, it’s factually more like fear-mongering marketing. Many use dire language simply to get your attention and make you click. The Hoax of Barbault’s Basket First, let me explain who André Barbault was. A French astrologer, he first identified the four planets aligning in this basket shape back in 1955. He studied how this configuration corresponded to specific turning points in history. The most recent “Barbault’s Basket,” just happened on July 15–24, 2026. Many writers pointed this being a dramatic time for a new world order and that created a lot of catastrophic headlines. Guess what I learned after reading several, very long astrological discussions about the Basket? Nothing! That’s right, these long articles never drew a conclusion about what it actually meant. I also did an international review of the news for that July period and NOTHING big happened in the news. Some...

  • The Clouds Parted. The Sunshine Beamed. Did I Really Do That?
    2026/09/03
I asked the clouds to disperse and about twenty minutes later to my amazement, they did. Manifesting sunshine actually worked! This story might make you wonder what’s actually possible when you stop complaining about your circumstances and start asking for what you do want. There’s a much bigger application for what I learned that can help you live the life you want. My Beach Day Started With a Dilemma My friend wanted to go to a specific beach that required a town sticker. I didn’t have one. Getting that sticker meant a trip to the town office, and I wasn’t in the mood for a line or bureaucratic energy. I didn’t want the hassle, but I decided to make it work. The morning started with a clear blue sky. By the time my friend arrived, clouds had rolled in. We drove to the tax assessor’s office anyway, and I braced myself for a wait. I opened the office door and to my surprise, there was a window available. Five minutes later I was back in my car with the sticker on my bumper. If you’ve ever stood in a town office line, you know five minutes is a small miracle. Disappointing Weather We arrived at the beach, plunked down our chairs and sat down under the clouds and strong wind. My friend immediately reached for a sweatshirt. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the perfect August beach day we’d hoped for. We could have packed up and spent time complaining about the weather. But we didn’t. Instead, we chatted for a while, catching up. Then I commented on the wind and my friend made a suggestion that was so interesting. She said, “Let’s talk to the wind and see if it has a message for us.” We settled in, closed our eyes, and tuned in. The message I received was about clearing. The wind was loosening what didn’t serve me, and the sand and water were there to ground me and clear old, stuck energy. My friend received something similar. Speaking to the Wind and Clouds From there, more ideas came about talking to the wind. We asked the wind to calm down. Then the sun popped through a small hole in the clouds – it was like a sun doughnut hole. A thought thought came to me – ask the clouds to create more holes for the sunshine. And the sun did break through several more times. We didn’t leave didn’t fixate on these requests. Just asked and went back to chatting. We kept our feet in the sand and enjoyed what was. Eventually, I decided to just go for it and asked the clouds to dissipate. I asked, “Don’t you want to disperse and clear so we can see blue sky and sunshine? Come on, I know you want to do that.” I said this in a fun and teasing, playful way. Then my friend and I became reabsorbed in conversation and forgot all about it. What Happened 20-Minutes Later About twenty minutes later, I looked up and realized the wind had calmed to a breeze. When did that happen? And suddenly, the sky above us was blue. Previously, the clouds that had been parked overhead and totally motionless for hours. But now they were at the far edges of the visual sky. Now, could there be a meteorological explanation? Maybe. But the experience itself was undeniable. For about 45 minutes, we sat in the warm, bright sunshine of a day late in August, on a day that had started out gray and blustery. I like to think I had something to do with that and take the credit. Then next thought was, why hadn’t I been more specific and asked for two hours of sun? Maybe that would have been possible. By this time, it was 4pm and the clouds had drifted back as the wind had picked back up. We felt done, so we packed up and headed home. The Lesson Was Bigger than the Weather Today, thinking back over these events, it hit me. How often do I do spend time complaining, rather than enjoying what is? And how often do I just ask for what I want rather than spending time resisting what is? The minute something goes wrong, I start talking about what’s wrong with it. I say how unfair it is, how frustrating it is, what isn’t working for me. I feel dissatisfied and resistant to what is happening. That’s okay. Sometimes you need to get something off your chest. But what comes after the venting matters just as much. Do you stop there? Or, do you start to focus on what you do want? This is a question about where you are putting your energy. Complaining, resisting, feeling frustrated, these are all energy drains if they continue for too long. When you share your complaints with everyone, you are pumping that energy out into the Universe. “I don’t want this job” is a very different comment than “here’s what I do want.” The first keeps you circling the problem, while the second moves you to invest energy and time into what you do want. We could have spent that whole beach day complaining about the wind and the clouds. Instead, we engaged with what was in front of us, asked for something different, without a lot of expectations. We noticed what was happening, thought about what we could do to possibly change our ...

  • Do Your Loved Ones Send Messages From Beyond?
    2026/08/13

Have you ever had a surprising incident that made you stop and think…was that really a coincidence? Or was someone from the other side sending you a message?

    Communication with the Other Side

Maybe you thought about someone who passed away, and then something happened that was a direct reflection of them. Perhaps you found a coin in an unexpected place, heard a song at exactly the right moment, or noticed a symbol, number, animal, or other little sign that felt strangely personal.

Could these moments actually be messages from your loved ones who have passed on? Yes!

In this fan favorite episode of the Breathe, Love, & Magic podcast, my guest and I explore the fascinating world of synchronicities, signs, and those unexpected moments that can make you wonder if your people from the other side are communicating.

Experiences like these caused me to pay much closer attention to the little things that happen in everyday life, especially when something feels too perfectly timed to dismiss.

3 Stories of Signs From Beyond

Heaven Sent Dimes: Tracy shared the story of why finding dimes is such a meaningful sign for her, and how these little coins started appearing in ways that felt anything but random. What began as an ordinary object took on an entirely different meaning.

Deathbed Prediction: Tracy’s grandmother announced from her hospital bed that she would die in ten days, on the exact anniversary of her husband’s death, 35 years earlier. Ten days later, she passed. It’s a remarkable story about timing, intention, and the possibility that you may have more awareness around our passing than you realize or expect.

Reappearing Recipe: Shortly before Tracy’s mother died, her brother asked for her baked egg recipe, but no one could find it. After her death, the recipe mysteriously appeared stapled inside an unrelated packet tat Tracy’s brother had recently given her.

Even more remarkable, it showed up just in time for the big event her brother was planning. Was it a coincidence, or a little help from Mom on the other side?

    Uncanny Coincidences

Sometimes a message may not arrive in the typical dramatic way you imagine or see in a movie. It can be something incredibly ordinary that suddenly takes on extraordinary meaning because of the timing and what it represents to you.

Instead of immediately brushing something off as “just a coincidence,” what if you became curious about it? What if you asked yourself, “Why did this catch my attention? What does this remind me of? And how does it make me feel?”

Whether you believe your loved ones can communicate after death or you’re simply fascinated by the mysteries of coincidence and synchronicity, this conversation offers a chance to look at those experiences with an open mind.

There’s something comforting about communication from the other side. The people you loved who passed away are no longer physically here, but the connection your shared with them doesn’t always disappear. Love can find a way to get your attention right through the veil.

So, if you’ve ever wondered whether that song, number, dream, or perfectly timed coincidence was actually a little hello from someone you love, you’ll want to listen to this episode. Enjoy!

  • Do Trees Communicate? Here’s What Six Trees Told Me
    2026/08/06
Have you ever wondered if trees could communicate what would they say? I know…it sounds a little unusual. But this week I decided to find out. I gave myself a challenge – I spent time with six different trees, asked each one if it was willing to communicate with me. Then, I listened. What happened next surprised even me. I’ve talked to plants, but never to trees. Whether you believe I was talking to trees, tapping into my intuition, or simply letting nature inspire me, I invite you to keep an open mind. Let’s see where this adventure takes us. What Started This Conversation Idea It all started when I went to the grocery store this week. I parked near the edge of the lot which has a nice evergreen border on the property line. AS I got out of the car, the trees caught my attention. Looking closely, I noticed a ton of little green balls at the end of the needle groups that make up the cypress leaves. Spiky, bright green, and maybe half an inch in diameter. What the heck? Were those going to be pinecones? I posted the picture on Substack and a friend looked it up. Yes! Those are tiny, immature pinecones of the cypress tree. That’s what caught my attention and and started me wondering if they had something to say. Yes, they did. Cypress: Beauty and Being Seen First, I heard these words: “Empress, royal, stately, graceful, beautiful.” Regal as they stand there, creating a tall emerald green border. “I am a mother tree, so I have loads of pinecones. These are like our flowers, to seed the earth and keep our kind going. My babies are full of seeds and offer nourishment to insects and small animals, as well as seeding the ground with new cypress trees. Don’t we make a beautiful border? Look at our auras and our energy fields. What do you see?” I was quite surprised to see little elemental helpers scurrying about between the trees. Gnome-like beings, hats and all, bringing energy and life force, and keeping the flow going. Then strangely, I also saw what seemed to be colorful, snake-like energies in pink and blue, swiftly wrapping around the trunks. Having never encountered anything like it, I did a little research. In Norse mythology, serpents are tied to the World Tree. In Greek mythology, a snake coils around the tree of the Hesperides to protect the golden apples. And in Buddhist tradition, the naga king Mucalinda shelters Buddha beneath the Bodhi Tree. Someone else had this image before me. That was really comforting. The cypress continued: “Trees have great wisdom because of our deep roots into Mother Earth. While our trunks are strong and stable, our branches blow in the breeze. We love this. To flow and move and twist and turn with the wind, dancing to our own lovely tune. We’re happy to mark the property line; it’s the perfect job for us. A strong masculine boundary with a fluid feminine grace. Notice us, be grateful to us, be kind to us. Say hello, acknowledge us. So few people even notice our beauty or the job we do. Thank you for spending time in our presence.” Ornamental Cherry: Abundance and Generosity Next, I approached the ornamental cherry tree. Here’s what I heard, “I am the picture of abundance, filled with tiny cherries. My pink blossoms turn into fruit in a matter of months. I love sitting here on your hill, rooted deeply into the earth, providing shade for the plants below me and a home to the insects and animals. Thank you for taking time with me today, for viewing me, appreciating me, and coming close enough to get to know me.” Russian Olive: Sharing and Spreading I said hello to the Russian olive tree and expressed that I love how it’s leaves go from green to silver in the breeze. They’ve populated so much of our land. I ask if this one would you tell me about itself. “Thank you for coming to talk to me. I have a certain grace, I know this is true. I am prolific and I spread everywhere. I’m not meant to grow big and old because my branches and wood are soft. But I do create shade and I do spread rapidly. I love sharing my presence on your land. I spread my branches wide as they curve down to make a wide top that brings shade to your yard.” Cedar: Resilience Two cedar pines stand as siblings. Planted years ago as one-foot bushes, they are now 12 to 15 feet tall despite the deer chewing at their base. I asked what they’d say about themselves as evergreens. “My leaves are spindly and small, but I am resilient. Regardless of the weather or the animals, I continue to grow. My branches come out from all around my trunk, inch after inch, filled with more branches. This is part of my beauty, strength, and resilience, and protects of my trunk as well. We appreciated being given the space to grow, and we’ve done so beautifully, don’t you think?” Oak: Standing in Your Power The oak was next. It’s such a stately tree. Regal, with a unique split trunk, like twins -two for one. It keeps its curled brown leaves through winter until spring brings ...

  • Compassion Begins With You
    2026/07/30
Inner compassion is the foundation for how you treat yourself and everyone else. It’s how your energy enters a room and is felt before you say a word. In this podcast episode, Meg Reilly talks about extending the same kindness to yourself that you’d offer a good friend. Building Inner Compassion The podcast interview started even though I forgot hit record. When we finished, my heart sank as I realized that mistake meant there was no recording. We had to start over. My first reaction was to feel embarrassed and unprofessional. What a dumb thing to do. With sadness in my voice, I told Meg what happened. We laughed a bit uncomfortably. Then I asked if she had time to do the interview again. She did – phew and on we went. How interesting that our conversation was about compassion and that the best place to start is with yourself. Meg asked something that made me stop and think. If a good friend made that same mistake, would I give them a hard time about it or be kind and supportive? Most people do not treat themselves as well as they treat dear friends. Treat Yourself Like You’d Treat Your Best Friend Meg’s coaching and writing focus on helping people live with more inner compassion. She has a simple way to check for it. When you make a mistake, stop and ask yourself what you’d say to a friend who did that same thing. You wouldn’t call her names or rehash the mistake for the next several hour, right? No, you’d say, “It’s okay. What should we do now?” That’s the kindness you owe yourself too. Meg admits this doesn’t always happen automatically. It takes practice. Building inner compassion is a lot like building muscle at the gym because it requires regular practice. Compassion Can Be Just Showing Up Not every kind of compassion involves fixing something. Meg spent time working in hospice care, simply sitting with patients who were unconscious or close to death. There was no problem to solve and nothing to say. She offered her calm presence and sometimes held a hand. This kind of compassion doesn’t look like much when viewed from the outside, but it is felt. People who’ve had near-death experiences describe being aware of who was in the room with them. Being there IS the act of compassion. Your Energy Enters the Room Before You Do Meg described what happens when she walks into a room full of strangers. She can immediately sense who’s happy and who’s miserable even if no words are exchanged or no physical contact is made because the energy is there. This is where the idea of self-compassion can often be underestimated. When you’re kind to yourself, that energy ripples out into how you treat everyone around you. And it continues rippling from there, like that proverbial pebble dropped in a pond. I talked about my friend MarBeth Dunn whose message is that world peace starts with inner peace. We also talked about how each of us is a single drop in the ocean and the entire ocean at the very same time. That always amazes me and now I see the connection to inner compassion from this perspective. Small Actions Create Big Ripples When our conversation turned to big global problems like climate change, it’s easy to feel like nothing you do personally can make a difference. Meg brought up the phrase, “Think globally, act locally.” The truth is that skipping paper towels, driving electric or hybrid cars, and recycling are small choices that actually can add up and make an impact. I shared a story you may have heard before about working with two friends using an energy clearing practice to help heal the oceans. This seemed rather grandiose to me, but I went along with it and did my part for the 90 minutes we worked together. Partway through, I got an intuitive message from a male figure resembling Poseidon (maybe it was the trident he was holding LOL), thanking us for our efforts. He let me know that even three people can really make a difference. My takeaway was that consistent, intentional energy matters, even if you’re a small group or just one person. Choose Your Words Wisely Your words and actions leave a bigger impact than you might think. Unkind comments tend to stick with you far longer and more vividly than kind words ever do. Meg says this is exactly why it’s worth slowing down with your language. Since you don’t know how your words will land and be remembered, she recommends that you be more conscious about what you say. True for words about yourself as well, which is why more inner compassion is needed. Inside The Echoes Deck Then, I asked Meg about her new oracle cards called the Echoes Deck. Meg’s original 48-card oracle tool was created for personal inquiry, insight, and self-guidance. Most oracle decks feature a theme like angels, animal guides, or essential oils. Meg’s deck has four realms: the external, the internal, the eternal (which covers body, mind, and spirit). But there’s a fourth realm called Echoes, that represents the energy you put out ...

  • How My Heart Wall Got Between Me And My Magic
    2026/07/23
Magic was never scary to me. That’s why finding out I was afraid of it caught me completely off guard and left me spinning. For years I’d been working with magic without calling it that. I wrote little songs for myself, repeated like chants, to help me manifest a newspaper column, my husband, and plenty of smaller things along the way. I didn’t think of it as magic but as a way to focus my energy. However, once my magic coach pointed out what I was actually doing, an old fear surfaced right alongside the curiosity. I had no idea where it came from. That question sent me looking for an answer, and what I found was a protective wall around my own heart. Two walls, actually, discovered years apart, protecting two very different parts of my life. Here’s both stories, plus what I’m doing about it at a live event on July 29th. The Cage Around My Heart Back in 2020, stuck inside during Covid like everyone else, I started working with a magic coach named Mikala. She helped me see the magic I’d already been using for years without naming it. That was exciting and also the moment the fear showed up. It wasn’t rational. I wasn’t casting spells or doing anything harmful, just directing my energy toward what I wanted. But the dread was real once I discovered this was magic. So, I went looking for its source the way I usually do with past-life work. This is a healing modality I’ve relied on for close to 30 years. The Akashic Records had already revealed plenty to me about past lives and how they influence me today. Like why calligraphy came so naturally. I had been a monk illuminating Bibles in the Middle Ages, as it turned out. This time, what I found was darker. I discovered a life in Venice that ended with my head removed for practicing magic with a group. There was also a pattern of betrayal tied to magic showing up more than once. So by 2022, I decided to finally work through it using a meditation based on Dr. Bradley Nelson’s Emotion Code He created this idea that we sometimes create a protective wall around the heart that can block us instead of helping us. Asking to See the Wall I set my intention to heal my fear of magic. Then I asked to see the wall in this gentle meditation. What appeared was a stone dungeon. I was standing inside a metal cage, spikes pointing inward at heart level which seems like something straight out of a horror film. I didn’t know how to dismantle it myself, so I asked my guides to handle it. The metal melted into a puddle at my feet. Then it reformed into a metal plate with two interlocking hearts, one pointed down and one pointed up, woven together like the Star of David. I stopped the meditation right there, went to my computer, and looked up the symbol. It represents unity. One heart and the end of duality. Whoa – that felt important. Going back into the meditation, I asked what that meant for me and my magic. The answer was to stand on the plate whenever I do magic now. It will keep me safe. I still don’t cast spells or light ritual candles, though there’s nothing wrong with that path for someone else. However, these days I talk about magic openly with clients, with friends, or anyone curious enough to ask. A few years ago I never would have said that out loud. Is Your Subconscious Keeping You Too Safe? Fast forward to this year, I decided to share this powerful, yet completely safe process. So, I created the live Heart Wall Meditation event for July 29th. To go a bit deeper, I thought the best thing was to run the process on myself again, but this time with a different intention which was friendship. Midlife has a way of thinning out your circle of friends. People move, pass away, and drift apart. Each time it happened, I told myself I’d go make new friends, and then did nothing. That bothered me, because I’m a social person who works alone at home and genuinely craves connection. So, why the stall? I sat down and asked my subconscious to show me what was in the way. A wall appeared but this time it was brick, not a metal cage. Big, solid, and completely unexpected. I was totally shocked! I asked the wall if it had a message for me and it explained why it was there. Then I asked if I could take it down and got an immediate yes. I decided to have some fun with it and imagined a ray gun. One blast and the wall came apart, leaving a pile of rubble. I told the rubble to sink into the earth and be recycled. Gone. Except I wasn’t quite finished. Something told me to look again, and a white stockade fence appeared. It was six or seven feet tall, points on top, and solid. I imagined a saw and cut a doorway in the middle, then walked through to the other side. Nothing there but open grass. When I turned back, I gave the fence a gentle push and it fell flat, then dissolved. Remove Old Walls of Protection Two walls, two completely different methods to demolish them. One I blew apart, the other I removed gently. Both ways worked just as well! That’s ...
