概要

Welcome to the Branding Democrats podcast – your field guide to helping Democrats win before it's too late. Our hosts, Ken and Daryl, are renowned industry experts and authors of the book Branding Democrats: A Top-to-Bottom Reimagining of Campaign Strategies.

The truth is: Democrats suck at branding.

Branding Democrats is the solution. With our expertise in messaging and branding, we’ll lay out a process to transform the public's perception of Democrats, repositioning the party as the people who genuinely care about the well-being of all Americans.

We examine the current political landscape and some notable case studies of failing Democratic campaigns of the past. We'll show you how to brand Democrats as the party that "fights for the people", how to make that branding personal, and how to differentiate Democratic policies from those of Republicans that prioritize corporations and the wealthiest Americans.

Let's help Democrats save America from the crazies. Tune in to the Branding Democrats podcast today.

  • Caroline Leavitt Said WHAT? with @Letsdiscusssomething
    2026/02/24

This week, we’re joined again by repeat guest Chris — better known as @LetsDiscussSomething — the creator who watches Fox News and Trumpworld so you don’t have to.

We dig into the Trump team’s growing desperation ahead of the midterms: the push for the SAVE Act and voter ID schemes, the nonstop “election fraud” narrative they’re resurrecting to justify future suppression, and the chaos of governing by executive order when Congress can’t pass anything.

Plus: why JD Vance has negative charisma (and why that might be good news), and the one bright spot — Democrats have a bench, a message, and a real opening if they’re willing to fight like it.

Follow Chris at “@Let’s Discuss Something” on TikTok and Instagram for daily breakdowns, and check his Linktree for YouTube, Patreon, and Substack.

  • Are there no good Republicans? with @Politiktoker
    2026/02/17

This week on Branding Democrats, Gabby and Ken are joined by Kyle (@Politiktoker) — a nurse and TikTok creator who reposts the clips he thinks more Americans need to see.

Kyle takes us from casting his first vote in 2016 as a “Bernie Bro” to watching the country land right back in Trump chaos, and he doesn’t hold back on why he thinks we got here: Democrats under-selling real wins, over-relying on consultant-approved messaging, and letting Republicans define reality with fake victories and billionaire-backed propaganda.

We dig into the week’s madness — from Epstein and Pam Bondi’s explosive hearing, to ICE violence, to dark money as the root of corruption — and what it’ll take to keep people from forgetting what they’re watching in real time. We also get into the manosphere pipeline pulling young men right, why “tax the rich” is still the most common-sense message in politics, and why Democrats don’t need a “strong Republican Party” — they need a stronger spine.

We end with something hopeful: what a people-powered win like Zohran Mamdani’s can teach Democrats about building real energy, real trust, and real power.

  • Epstein and the Billionaire Protection Plan
    2026/02/09

In this week’s episode of Branding Democrats, Gabby and Ken take on the stories everyone is angry about.

We start with the Epstein files and the growing outrage over how Trump’s DOJ is handling them: missed redactions that expose victims, total protection for powerful men, and a Justice Department that increasingly looks like a personal law firm for the president. If Republicans claim to be the party of “law and order,” why is accountability nowhere to be found?

From there, we zoom out to the bigger picture: the erosion of trust in institutions, the normalization of corruption, and the alarming push to nationalize elections — a proposal that should be setting off every alarm bell in a democracy.

This isn’t just about one scandal. It’s about power, accountability, and whether Democrats are willing to define who they are before authoritarianism defines the country for them.
