Boundaries get talked about like they’re a spreadsheet you fill out once, sign, and never touch again. That’s not how real relationships work, and it’s definitely not how the swinger lifestyle works. We sit down and challenge each other on what we think we know about our biggest boundaries, then we let the answers get uncomfortable when they need to.
We dig into consent as the foundation: no one gets to touch us without permission, and “surprise” contact is not a cute mistake. From there, we get honest about what trust looks like in practice, including exchanging numbers, private texting with people we’ve played with, and why “don’t tell your spouse” is an instant red flag. We also talk about what we will not carry for other people: we’re here for connection and fun, not to be dragged into someone else’s relationship drama.
Then we run a rapid fire boundary test that hits the stuff people love to debate in open relationships and ethical nonmonogamy: solo events, playing separately, one on one dates, sleepovers, vacations, feelings, and even saying “I love you.” We explain why we keep our agreements simple, how we navigate sexual health, and why we’d rather communicate clearly than stack up a long list of rules we’ll forget in the moment.
If you’ve ever wondered whether your boundaries are “right,” this will remind you to focus on what you can live with and how you talk about it. Subscribe for more Bedroom Unscripted, share this with a partner or friend, and leave a review then tell us: which boundary would you renegotiate first?
