My guest today is the CEO and founder of Futureproof Music School John von Seggern.

After leading online education programs at Dubspot and Icon Collective, John saw firsthand how rigid, outdated models failed to meet the needs of today’s artists.

In response, he created Futureproof, which is a music school that blends personalized mentorship with an AI tuned for music production, something that no other program is doing in quite the same way.

In addition to his educational work, John is a seasoned studio musician, producer, and sound designer with over 30 years of experience. This includes collaboration with electronic music pioneer Jon Hassell, extensive touring experience in Asia, and contributions as a sound designer to major film projects, including the Oscar-winning Pixar film WALL-E.

During the interview we talked about blending traditional and electronic music, online vs in-person education, leveraging AI in music education, blockchain and student credentials, and much more.
