  • Michigan Falls To Illinois, MSU Up Next
    2024/10/22

Michigan lost to Illinois in pretty embarrassing fashion, scoring just seven points over the course of 60 minutes. Now, it's on to Michigan State.

Looking ahead to the matchup against the Spartans, the stakes are definitely high. This rivalry game is always intense, and both teams will be motivated. Michigan needs to regroup quickly, focusing on improving execution and taking care of the ball, which certainly led to the loss against Illinois. If they can bounce back and capitalize on the home-field advantage in Ann Arbor, they'll still be alive in terms of being bowl eligible. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

  • Off A Bye, Michigan Football Heads To Illinois
    2024/10/17

Michigan's loss to Washington was a tough setback and sent Michigan into its bye week with a bad taste in their mouth. The loss definitely exposed some vulnerabilities, most glaringly on offense, at the quarterback position and in the passing game in general. The bye week should help as Jack Tuttle embraces the starting role at QB, but there are still a lot of question marks surrounding the defending national champs.

As the Wolverines head into the matchup against the Fighting Illini, Michigan needs to establish dominance and regain their confidence, especially on the ground. Illinois is a solid team and Bret Bielema knows all about battling it out in the trenches in the Big Ten. However, if Michigan can execute their game plan effectively, they should be in a good position to bounce back.
