Where is it?

Black Canyon Lake is located about 30 minutes south of US 260 in Heber, Arizona.

What is there?

There is no water there, so be sure to bring your own, and there is no fee to be at the lake.

There are vault toilets. Great hiking trails and the weather was perfect.

What can you do there:
There is Lake and pond fishing. We caught  Rainbow Trout, Blue Gills and Large Mouth Bass.

You can day hike around the area

Boats with 10 Horsepower single motors or less are permitted on the lake.

In 2002, the Rodeo-Chediski Fire devastated the area but it has been recovering. Because of that though, You can only visit the lake during the day.

We want to thank Dan Glover, Jake Glover and Lynn Glover for taking us out to the lake and having the patience to teach these young boys the joy of getting out and fishing. It takes more patience than most people know, for sure.
