  • Big Shot Bob – Shoot Around Ep 145 – Not on the Chin
    2026/08/28

We open this week’s Shoot Around with the wild story out of Ohio: 49ers owner Jed York getting caught up in a prostitution sting over a $140 ad, and the guys break down why guys with that kind of money still make choices like that. That leads into a detour on Flock license-plate cameras popping up everywhere, capped off by a city hall speech from a guy in a full Darth Vader costume that has to be heard to be believed.

From there it's Target's Halloween costume controversy - the one that got pulled and forced a public apology - which turns into a rundown of the worst, most tone-deaf costumes the guys have personally witnessed. There's also a detour into kids' shows sneaking jokes in for the parents, courtesy of a very memorable Bluey-style clip about the letter N.

We close out with a start-bench-cut sent over from Clutch Points: SGA, Luka Doncic and Anthony Edwards. Nobody wants to do it, but somebody's gotta cut a superstar.

  • Big Shot Bob – Ep 274 – Back-Handed Birthday Gifts
    2026/08/25

It's Big Shot Bob's birthday, and the fellas are treating themselves to a full plate of NBA offseason news before diving into some early football talk. Robert Horry turns 56 and gets the royal treatment from Rob and Harp right out of the gate, then the crew steps around the Enes Kanter WNBA drama entirely (on purpose) and gets into real basketball: the Wemby-Jokic showdown at the FIBA World Cup, James Harden's new deal pushing him toward the $500 million club, and whether a ring even matters at this point in his career.

From there it's a run through NBA free agency - Klay Thompson heading to Miami and immediately getting into it with people on Instagram, DeMar DeRozan's veteran-minimum move to Denver, and the five-team trade that sent Peyton Watson to Cleveland and Dennis Schroder to yet another team. Rob and Harp also break down ESPN's early East and West power rankings and argue about where Houston, Denver and the Hawks really stand heading into the season.

Football gets its turn too. Deshaun Watson is Cleveland's Week 1 starter, but he's not exactly getting a warm welcome from Browns fans - the guys dig into why, and Robert shares what it's like handling a hostile crowd as a pro. There's also a wild new ruling letting former NFL players return to college football, a debate the guys can't fully agree on, plus a Big Shot of the Week that'll actually make you feel good about people. They close it out old school with a Shootaround battle covering birds, cities, banners and number one picks.

  • Big Shot Bob – Shoot Around Ep 144 – Candace Walked In Late
    2026/08/21

It's Friday, which means it's time for Shoot Around. The guys kick things off with NBA 2K27 dropping soon and try to guess the top 10 rated players in the game before it releases, and let's just say a couple of MVP-caliber names slip right past them.

From there they run through which teams landed the most nationally televised games this season (four teams are tied at the top) and which teams barely made the schedule at all, before diving into the Jayden Daniels and LSU jersey number situation and what it says about how seriously players protect their old college numbers.

There's a fun detour into jersey number stories from Rob's own career, the week's audio clip of the year courtesy of a very unfiltered local newscast, and a time capsule dig through a 1997 TNT clip covering the trade that sent Rob from Phoenix to LA.

They close things out with a fan question about NBA Jam duos, which sends the whole crew down a rabbit hole of arcade nostalgia, from Mortal Kombat to Cruisin' USA.
