  • More Than Seizures - Mental Health in Epilepsy
    2026/09/11

Epilepsy encompasses much more than just seizures. I was joined by Dr. Tim Ainger, Ph.D., a neuropsychologist with the Kentucky Neuroscience Institute to discuss how epilepsy can have an array of effects on the mental health, not only of the person living with epilepsy, but also those caring for and supporting them. This episode does discuss suicidal ideation.

If you or someone you love is struggling with their mental health, please seek help from a health care professional. If you are contemplating harming yourself or others, please call or text 988, the suicide and crisis lifeline to talk with a caring counselor. The 988 Lifeline is available 24/7.
