Jerry didn’t even know what “Catholic” meant growing up, despite finding out later that his family was Catholic but fell away before he was born. It was a Cursillo weekend that opened up a world he didn't know existed. Mary had left the Church behind, but a Cursillo retreat brought her back to the sacraments.

Episode 2 of the Converts and Reverts Series starts off with some confusion and ends with a truth that resonates the hearts of each of us that are searching for a deeper connection with the roots of our faith. I know I am a bit biased because of my friendship with this couple but the conversation in the end with Our Mother Mary touched my soul in a way that I will never forget! We launch the Converts & Reverts series with Chris and Mariah - a young married couple whose journeys to the Catholic faith didn’t begin together, but ended in the same place. Mariah entered the Church in 2013. Chris had no faith life at all, but he carried a quiet curiosity and a whole list of reasons to stay on the sidelines.
