If you’re a Christian living with ADHD, I want you to know something: God understands you.

He knows your strengths, your weaknesses, your struggles, your thoughts, and the things you’re still learning to navigate—better than anyone else ever could. He created you, He loves you, and He is not standing over you in shame because your brain works differently or because you need help.

In this episode, I’m sharing part of my own journey with ADHD, faith, and seeking treatment, and why I believe faith and treatment can exist together—not apart. Getting help doesn’t mean you don’t trust God. Taking medication, seeing a professional, or admitting that you’re struggling doesn’t make you a failure as a Christian.

Sometimes, when you’re struggling, the people around you may tell you to just have more faith, pray harder, try harder, be more disciplined, or simply focus. And you may have spent your entire life trying harder—doing everything you could to keep up, wondering why things that seemed so easy for everyone else felt so difficult for you. What if you weren’t failing? What if you were living life on hard mode without even knowing there was a reason why?

If you’ve ever felt guilty or ashamed because you’re struggling with something that others seem to think you should simply be able to overcome, I hope this conversation reminds you that God knows exactly where you are. He isn’t ashamed of you, and you don’t have to walk through it alone. ❤️

Content Note: This episode contains brief, non-graphic mentions of despair and past suicidal thoughts before receiving treatment. No details or descriptions are given. Listener discretion is advised for anyone who may find these topics difficult or triggering.
