  • Chapter 5: Life Didn't Wait For Me
    2026/09/09

Becoming a wife and mother so young meant life didn't exactly wait for me to figure out who I was.

In Chapter 5 of Becoming JENuine, I look back at becoming a young mother to three beautiful daughters, the financial struggles we faced, the family who helped us along the way, and the memories of those early years that now come back in pieces.

Some of the baby years are blurry, and as a mother, that's been emotional to admit. But I've realized something while telling this story: maybe I don't remember every day, but I remember my daughters. I remember their personalities, the love, the laughter, and how hard we worked to build a life for our family.

And just when life seemed to be settling into place as a family of five, something I didn't yet understand began to surface anxiety.

This chapter is about young motherhood, sacrifice, gratitude, family, and giving ourselves grace for the seasons we were simply too busy living to fully remember.

Real Stories. Raw Truth. Beautiful Becoming. 🤍

  • Chapter 4: We Were Just Kids
    2026/08/26

At sixteen and eighteen, we were married but that didn't mean we knew how to be adults.

In Chapter 4 of Becoming JENuine, I look back at our first years of marriage: a simple honeymoon through New Mexico, our little single-wide mobile home, learning to cook on a budget, working to make ends meet, leaving school, navigating the growing pains of marriage, and eventually preparing to welcome our firstborn daughter.

We didn't have much, and we certainly didn't have life figured out. But we were covered by love.

Looking back, I realize we were learning marriage while still learning ourselves and building a life with the tools our families and generations before us had given us.

We were just kids... and God was still growing us. 🤍

  • Chapter 3: Time Moved So Quickly
    2026/08/12

One minute I was the chubby girl with thick glasses trying to fit in. Then came confidence, cheerleading, first love and suddenly, life began moving faster than I ever imagined.

In Chapter 3 of Becoming JENuine, I reflect on my teenage years, the desire to feel accepted and chosen, teenage pregnancy, the loss of my first baby girl and becoming a bride all at sixteen.

Looking back, I don't see that young girl with shame or regret. I see her with grace and with the understanding that long before she knew her worth, God already did.

This chapter is about identity, belonging, loss, love and learning that being chosen by someone else was never what determined my value.

You're not behind. You're not forgotten. You're still becoming.

  • Don't Fight The Adjustment
    2026/08/02

    Sometimes God changes the Agenda!

I originally planned to continue Chapter 3 of my story for the next episode but after hearing messages from Pastor Steve Furtick and Evangalist Priscilla Shirer, I couldn't shake what the Holy Spirit was placing on my heart today.

    This isn't a sermon, It's a simple personal reflection.

In this Episode I'm sharing what God challenged me with about raising my perspective, renewing my mind, embracing spiritual growth and learning not to fight the adjustments He makes in our lives.

If you've ever walked away from church feeling like God was speaking directly to you, I hope this conversation encourages you to pause, listen and trust where he's leading you.

As we begin a new month I close with a prayer over August and all of us!

Thank you for walking this journey with me of Becoming with me.

  • Chapter 2: Little Girl, Don't Stop Dreaming
    2026/07/29

Before life became responsibilities, heartbreak, motherhood, careers and expectations...we were simply children with dreams.

In this chapter, I take you back to my childhood years in Hobbs, NM. A little girl with thick glasses, big dreams, a love for singing and a mother who believed in her long before she believed in herself.

We'll talk about family, faith, bullying, identity and the words that shape us. Most importantly, we will discover that while life has a way of changing our dreams, God has a way of redeeming them.

My prayer is that somewhere in this chapter, you'll remember the little dreamer inside of you and the God that has never stopped writing your story.

  • Chapter 1: Why Becoming JENuine? | The Story Behind My Yes
    2026/07/15

Welcome to the first episode of "Becoming JENuine"

For over a year, this podcast has been on my heart. Like so many dreams, I kept waiting for the "perfect" time to begin until I realized that sometimes God isn't asking us to have everything figured out. Sometimes, He's asking us to take the first step.

In this introductory episode, I'm sharing the heart behind Becoming JENuine, the meaning behind the name.a glimpse into the journey that brought me here and why I believe even the difficult chapters of our lives can have a purpose.

Through honest conversations about faith, healing, identity, motherhood, relationships, rebuilding and purpose and the lifelong journey of becoming who God created us to be.

I don't have all the answers, I'm still becoming too.

My hope is that through sharing my story, you'll feel encouraged to look at your own with a little more Grace and remember that God is still writing it.

    You're not behind

    You're not forgotten

    You're still becoming
