Oregon State stunned the college football world with a gutsy performance against ranked Texas Tech, falling 35-24 but proving they’re far from finished. Despite starting 0-2, the Beavers showed flashes of brilliance: senior linebacker Aiden Sullivan led the defense with 11 tackles, a sack, and relentless pressure, while injured defensive lineman Daniel Matagi still delivered a crucial sack. Offensively, sophomore QB Braden Atkinson threw for nearly 400 yards and two TDs, showcasing mobility and poise. But the real story? True freshman Jesse Legree, now leading the nation in receiving yards with 376 after just two games, exploded for eight catches, 240 yards, and two touchdowns—including the game-tying score. The Atkinson-Legree connection is already electric, and with this talent emerging, Oregon State may be on the cusp of something special—even if the scoreboard doesn’t reflect it yet.
