I was speaking with a group of people developing makeup specifically for hot climates—makeup that stays on even when you’re sweating. That led me to ask them about something deeper: how beauty ideals differ between their home countries and countries with cooler climates
we talked about beauty standards and personal experiences among participants from different African countries now living in various places, including the UK , Japan and Cameroon.
