BATTERED NETS FANS — READY TO GET HURT AGAIN!

The Brooklyn Nets suffered their first preseason loss against the Miami Heat, but the final score is NOT the story!

MIKEL BROWN JR. HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!

After waiting to see Brooklyn's young guard make his debut, Nets fans finally got their first look at Brown in action — and there were plenty of encouraging signs.

On today's episode of Battered Nets Fans, we're breaking down Brown's preseason debut, his confidence with the basketball, his offensive potential, and what his arrival could mean for Jordi Fernández's rotation.

We'll also discuss the Nets' defensive struggles against Miami, what needs to improve before the regular season, and how Brown could fit alongside Egor Dëmin, Nolan Traoré and the rest of Brooklyn's young core.

The preseason record doesn't matter nearly as much as player development, and tonight gave Nets fans something to be excited about.

The Brooklyn Nets remain PERFECT in the preseason!

Brooklyn defeated the Washington Wizards 131-122 to improve to 3-0, and once again there were plenty of encouraging signs from Jordi Fernández's group.

On this episode of Battered Nets Fans, we're breaking down Michael Porter Jr.'s big return, Julius Randle continuing to operate as a playmaker, another impressive performance from Nolan Traoré, Noah Clowney's shooting, Keon Ellis' impact and what Brooklyn's rotations could look like when the regular season begins.

We'll also discuss the areas that still need improvement — including turnovers, interior defense and a difficult shooting night for Egor Dëmin — and whether Brooklyn's explosive preseason offense is something we can actually expect to carry over.

PLUS: the Nets officially unveiled their 2026-27 Classic Edition uniforms and court, celebrating the franchise's ABA roots and the 50th anniversary of the NBA-ABA merger. Are these already among the best Nets uniforms ever?

It's only preseason…but 3-0 is 3-0.

The new-look Brooklyn Nets have officially taken the floor — and there was a LOT to like.

Brooklyn opened the preseason with a dominant 124–90 win over the Charlotte Hornets, and on this episode of Battered Nets Fans, we're breaking down our first real look at the 2026–27 Nets.

How did Jordi Fernández's new starting lineup look? Is Egor Dëmin becoming the more aggressive offensive player Nets fans have been waiting for? And most importantly, what did we learn from our first look at Julius Randle and Michael Porter Jr. playing together?

MPJ finished with 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting and 4-of-6 from three, while Randle had 13 points, 3 assists and zero turnovers. We even got an early glimpse of their chemistry when Randle created a bucket for Porter.

Dëmin's night is more nuanced. He finished with 6 points and 5 assists in 18 minutes, shooting 2-of-5 — with both makes coming from three — and attempted zero free throws. So while his playmaking was encouraging, I wouldn't say one preseason game answered the question about attacking the paint yet. That's actually a very good debate for the show.

It's only preseason — but after one game, are we starting to see what this Nets team could become?

The wait is over — Brooklyn Nets basketball is officially back!

On this episode of Battered Nets Fans, we react to everything coming out of Nets Media Day and look ahead to the biggest questions entering training camp and preseason.

What should we expect from Julius Randle and Michael Porter Jr.? How big of a leap can Egor Dëmin make in Year 2? What will No. 6 pick Mikel Brown Jr. look like in his first NBA training camp? Which young players will earn real minutes? And what will Jordi Fernández's rotation actually look like when the games begin?

We'll also discuss the competition for playing time, the development of Brooklyn's young core, the biggest things we want to learn during preseason, and what would make us more — or less — optimistic about this team before Opening Night.

The 2026-27 journey starts NOW.
