Tune in here to this Wednesday's edition of the Brett Winterble Show!

Brett kicks off the program by talking about the October 7 anniversary of the horrific Hamas attacks and the importance of remembering the lives lost during the violence. Broadcasting from Liberty Mountain, Brett reflects on the significance of the historic location while drawing parallels between the fight for freedom during the American Revolution and the need to remain vigilant against threats to civilization today. He revisits the deadly attack at a music festival and emphasizes the brutality and intentional nature of the violence.

We're joined by Brooke Rollins the U.S.Secretary of Agriculture to talk about the future of American farming and the importance of supporting the next generation of farmers and ranchers. Rollins discusses her visit to a cotton gin in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and highlights the challenges facing American cotton producers as the number of cotton gins across the country has declined dramatically. She also explains efforts to improve profitability for farmers, expand agricultural trade opportunities, and create incentives for young people and first-generation farmers to enter the industry.

Rollins emphasizes the importance of American farmers in improving the nation's food supply and discusses the growing demand for American beef. She also addresses efforts to strengthen the nation's cattle herd and support American ranchers. Following the interview, Brett reflects on the wide-ranging responsibilities of the USDA, including food safety, nutrition assistance, forestry, rural development, and agricultural research, while emphasizing the importance of a strong and sustainable American food system.
