Can LaNorris Sellers be fixed? After a frustrating start for the South Carolina Gamecocks offense, Chris Marler is joined by On3 analyst and SEC Stat Cat founder Clark Brooks to break down what is actually going wrong with Sellers, Kendal Briles’ offense and South Carolina’s passing game.

The numbers surrounding Sellers might be more complicated than they appear. Despite the criticism, Brooks explains why Sellers’ overall accuracy remains one of the better marks in the SEC — while his decision-making, anticipation and ability to consistently see the field are creating major problems for the Gamecocks. They break down what South Carolina can do schematically to simplify things for Sellers and create easier opportunities through RPOs, screens, motion and the quick passing game.

But there are reasons for optimism. South Carolina’s offensive line and rushing attack have made major improvements under Briles. Brooks explains why the Gamecocks have been one of the SEC’s most successful rushing offenses through the early portion of the season and how that could become the foundation for fixing the offense.

Plus, Chris and Clark look ahead to South Carolina vs. Alabama, the opportunities the Gamecocks could have against the Crimson Tide defense, why second-half adjustments remain critical and what Sellers must do to get South Carolina’s passing attack back on track.

Topics include: LaNorris Sellers’ struggles and accuracy, Kendal Briles’ offensive scheme, South Carolina’s improved offensive line, the Gamecocks’ rushing success, explosive-play issues, Sellers’ decision-making and anticipation, Alabama matchup advantages and whether South Carolina can turn its offense around.
