WORD FOR OCTOBER | 2026 | JOB 22:29 | WHEN MEN ARE CAST DOWN, THERE SHALL BE A LIFTING UP! | CHIMDI OHAHUNA

What do you do when everything around you seems to be going down, but God is saying there is still a lifting?

In this powerful Word for the Month for October 2026, we are taken into a profound study of Job 22:29: “When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.” This message reveals that seasons of pressure, misunderstanding, delay, opposition, and apparent setbacks do not have to be the end of your story. There can still be a lifting.

Through the experience of Job, this teaching examines what happens when people interpret our circumstances without understanding what God is doing. It highlights a powerful truth: people can speak right words in the wrong way, and wisdom requires learning to separate sensitivity from sentimentality. Rather than allowing emotions, assumptions, accusations, or the opinions of others to determine our response, we are challenged to listen for the truth God is revealing.

The teaching also confronts the danger of irresponsibility, especially the failure to appropriate the finished work of Christ. It calls believers to take responsibility for their walk with God, their understanding of His Word, and their response to the realities of their faith.

One of the strongest lessons in this message is that restoration begins with revelation. Before God restored Job, He dealt with Job's understanding. Before the lifting becomes evident externally, God may first be bringing illumination internally. The message therefore challenges us not merely to seek restoration, but to seek the revelation that will enable us to sustain what God restores.

You will also discover why returning to God, humility, overcoming fear, developing spiritual understanding, and knowing the goodness of God are essential to experiencing the lifting He has promised.

If you have felt cast down, misunderstood, delayed, opposed, discouraged, or forgotten, this October Word is a timely reminder: your present condition does not have the final word. God can lift you. God can vindicate you. God can restore you.

Listen prayerfully, receive the Word, examine your understanding, and position yourself for the lifting God has prepared.

This October, don't remain cast down. There shall be a lifting up!
