  • 14 | Why High Achievers Get Sick When They Finally Slow Down
    2025/12/03

Life does not pause just because we need a moment. My kids were home on a rare snow day, Louie was barking, the snowplow was loud, and after trying to record this over and over again, I decided to show up exactly as I am. Because that is the whole point of our Midweek Moments.

Today I am talking about something so many of us go through, especially during the holidays. When you run on high stress for too long, your body holds it together until you finally slow down, and then it crashes. Last year, I pushed myself through months of travel and ended up with pneumonia the moment I stopped. I never want to go into a holiday season like that again and I do not want you to either.

This episode is your reminder to take five minutes to reset before your body forces you to. I share simple ways to check in with yourself, breathe, set an intention, and create a small pause that can keep your mind and body from burning out.

I also created a free five minute reset guide for you at ashleymorena.com. Join my email list and you will get it instantly. My weekly Sunday email will help you start your week feeling grounded and supported.

Thank you for listening and for all the messages you send. Knowing this podcast is making a difference means more to me than you know.

  • 12 | When Life Feels Heavy, Remember This
    2025/11/26

This Midweek Moment is a gentle reminder as we head into Thanksgiving. Life has been a lot this week. Our little dog Lou had a difficult seizure. Work is full as we roll out new updates at Project School Nutrition. The holidays are coming fast. And through all of it, gratitude has kept me grounded.

In this short episode I talk about how gratitude helps us reconnect to the present, why this too shall pass, and how to find a moment of stillness when life feels stretched. If you are feeling the pressure of the season, tighter budgets, or the weight of the unknown, I hope this gives you a little peace and a reminder that you are not walking through it alone.

This episode is an honest conversation about hormones, perimenopause, and the real changes many of us begin feeling in our thirties. I also talk about how I explain periods and hormones to my sons and why these conversations matter for future generations.

I am not a medical expert. I am simply sharing what I have learned, what I am experiencing, and the questions so many of you have asked me to talk about. If your cycle has been unpredictable or you have felt “off” lately, I hope this episode helps you feel understood and less alone.
