Are you tired—not just physically tired, but weary from carrying something you can’t fix or control?

In Ruth 3, Ruth and Naomi are still living with uncertainty. They don’t know exactly how their story will end, but God is already at work providing a redeemer.

Ruth takes the next faithful step, places herself at the feet of her redeemer, and receives a promise that allows her to rest even before everything is resolved.

The same is true for us.

We may not know what happens next, when the prayer will be answered, or how God will work everything out—but we know our Redeemer.

Jesus has done what we could never do for ourselves. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He has accomplished our redemption.

BIG IDEA: We can rest because our Redeemer is at work.

Who is a God like our God?

As we close our series through the book of Micah, the prophet ends not by pointing us to ourselves, but by pointing us to the character of God. Micah 7:18–20 reminds us that our God pardons sin, delights in steadfast love, shows compassion, defeats our iniquity, remains faithful, and always keeps His promises.

All of these truths ultimately point us to the good news of Jesus Christ. At the cross, our sin is paid for and God’s love is displayed. Through the resurrection, sin and death are defeated. Our hope is not found in our ability to be faithful enough, but in the faithfulness of God.

Big Idea: There is no one like our God.

• He pardons iniquity

• He passes over transgression

• He gives His inheritance to the unworthy

• He does not stay angry forever

• He delights in steadfast love

• He has compassion again

• He treads our iniquities underfoot

• He casts our sins into the depths of the sea

• Am I worshiping the God of the Bible, or a version of God I’ve created in my own mind?

• Have I truly rested in the finished work of Christ?

• Who in my life needs to hear that there really is no God like our God?

Will injustice ever end? Will war ever cease? Will fear finally disappear?

In Micah 4:1–5, the prophet lifts our eyes beyond the brokenness of the present to God’s promised future. Through the lens of the New Testament, we see that these promises find their fulfillment in Jesus Christ.

In this message, we explore the biblical truth that God’s Kingdom is already—but not yet. Jesus inaugurated His Kingdom at His first coming, is gathering the nations through the gospel today, and will one day return to restore all things.
