  • Bedtime Fun For Everybody Ziggy Marley Releases Pajamin The Audio Version Is All Music
    2025/06/30
HarperCollins Children's Books announced the publication of PAJAMMIN' by musician Ziggy Marley and acclaimed illustrator Letícia Moreno. Inspired by Bob Marley's iconic song "Jamming," this story about a family's fun-filled pajama party will inspire young readers and their caregivers to make bedtime a ritual worth celebrating.Carrying on his father's legacy of fostering joy and connection, Marley transforms iconic lines from "Jamming" into a bouncy, bedtime read-aloud. The result is a rollicking roadmap for screen-free family time, complete with Moreno's exuberant illustrations inspired by Marley's own multicultural family."This book is about togetherness and happiness," said Marley. "Children and adults will be able to tell 'cause the love that we put into it is vibrating from the pages. I am so happy to share this with everyone.""Ziggy brings the same joy and warmth to his books that he brings to his music, and working with him on this project has been a delight. Inspired by his own family's rituals and his father's iconic and beloved lyrics, he has created a celebration of creative play and family togetherness that's perfectly captured in Letícia Moreno's buoyant art," said Lynne Polvino, Senior Editor at Clarion Books.Marley is the eldest son of reggae icons Bob Marley and Rita Marley, and is a celebrated, eight-time Grammy Award-winning artist. He continues his father's mission of fighting for equality and social justice through his music; humanitarian work with his nonprofit, the U.R.G.E. Foundation; and long history of creating art for children and families. His album Family Time was #1 on the Reggae Charts, #2 on the Kids' Charts, and won a Grammy for Best Children's Album, as well as an Emmy for Outstanding Original Song for the video from "I Love You Too." Marley performed the Arthur theme song, "Believe in Yourself," which played at the top of every episode over its 25-year run, and he has appeared on children's television shows like Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock, and Chopped Junior. Furthering his dedication to children's literacy, PAJAMMIN' will join Marley's previous picture books, including Little John Crow, I Love You Too, My Dog Romeo, and Music Is in Everything, on shelves this summer.

  • Powerful Political Scandalous The Movie Thirsty Starring Actress Jamie Neumann
    2025/06/30
THIRSTY follows the upstart campaign of an audacious attorney Audrey Allen (Jamie Neumann) as she strives to unseat the incumbent mayor of Oakland. Driven by her rough upbringing and altruistic desires, Audrey is willing to endure the relentless demands of campaign life. This is a woman who fights to win. Audrey's criticism of the popular incumbent mayor Maya King (Brandee Evans) motivates a veteran of the political game Anne Dixon (Kyra Sedgwick) to bolster her struggling campaign. Audrey's skeptical husband Tae Kim (Sung Kang) views Anne's behavior as machiavellian but fails to convince his wife to move more cautiously. Audrey is blinded by ambition and subsequently thrust into the limelight with her family in tow.
Anne's go-to political operative Valentina Ramos (Briana Venskus-Vazquez) isn't Audrey's fan but reluctantly becomes her campaign manager anyway. They clash over tactical issues and Audrey's charismatic field manager Derek Williams (Tyler Lepley) often steps in as referee. As the campaign gains momentum, T.K. becomes increasingly alienated and the tensions in their marriage escalate. Audrey's daughter Eunbi also feels the sting of her mother's absence. At Anne's behest, Audrey keeps her troubled sister Sonia (Thora Birch) at arm's length but this strategy soon becomes untenable. As election day approaches, Audrey is guilt-ridden for not being a more involved mother, sister and wife but nevertheless remains consumed by election fever. Soon she is confronted with impossible decisions that put both her career and her family on the line. Audrey must reconcile the seduction of the political game with her own moral compass or risk losing it all.

    2025/06/28
I’m always asking questions. The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as… Why do most people choose to keep aways from anything that look or smells like religion? Plus…what’s worse a summer cold or one we catch during the winter months? I’m Arroe… I am a daily writer. A silent wolf. I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate. • Hollywood Vampires From Kelly Loudenberg And Makiko Wholey The Exploitation Machine
    2025/06/27
Celebrity romances have always captured the public's imagination, playing out like soap operas seized upon by fans and tabloids alike. By the same token, high-profile trials can take over the mainstream media cycle, with both news pundits and the public picking over every detail to predict outcomes and cast their own judgements. Enter the union, dissolution, and hostile legal battle between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard-where these dual obsessions collided in a chaotic moment of true cultural fixation.Hollywood Vampires offers an inside account of one of the most controversial and consequential celebrity scandals of the internet era. Fueled by viral clips, reaction videos, and endless online debates, the trial became more than a legal battle. It became a public spectacle, dividing audiences worldwide. Kelly Loudenberg and Makiko Wholey were documentarians and journalists on the ground for the Depp vs Heard trial. Having closely followed both Johnny, Amber, and their camps, they spent years leading up to and following the trial, interviewing the couple's closest allies as well as their managers, lawyers, agents, business associates, publicists, assistants, and personal staff. Culled from their reporting in Fairfax, Virginia, as well as over 50 hours of exclusive video footage, Hollywood Vampires is a lucid, inside-the-room account that reveals a story the world thinks it knows in an entirely new light."Over the seven weeks we spent covering the trial, we came to a profound realization: unraveling the complexity, nuance, and cultural significance of the story required the depth and breadth that only a book could provide. What started as a traditional documentary transformed into a literary investigation that allowed us to spend several years conducting extensive interviews and performing meticulous research on the multifaceted characters and narratives that intersected in this case. In crafting this book, we have made a sincere effort to represent all perspectives and tell a complete story. We've approached the subject matter with both journalistic integrity and narrative flair. Hollywood Vampires offers readers more than just celebrity gossip or true crime intrigue-it explores questions about power, perception, gender dynamics, and the court of public opinion in our digital age," said Loudenberg and Wholey.Turning the lens around, Hollywood Vampires questions how the Hollywood exploitation machine, strengthened by the forces of social media and legacy media alike, blurs the lines between fact and fiction, reportage and voyeurism, comedy and horror. It also explores how social media transformed a courtroom-a pillar of justice-into a source of digital mayhem where misinformation spread like wildfire. The result is a page-turning Hollywood epic full of revealing details that tell a wider tale about the celebrity-industrial complex, modern fandom, inflammatory culture wars, and contemporary feminism. With its unparalleled access and in-depth, investigative approach, Hollywood Vampires is set to join the ranks of other bestselling books like BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS by Mandy Matney, CATCH AND KILL by Ronan Farrow and ENDGAME by Omid Scobie. For readers of weighty, reported cultural narratives as well as pop-culture obsessives, this book offers a rare glimpse into the hidden machinery of Hollywood, the power plays embedded within our justice system, and the private lives of two of the biggest movie stars in the world.

  • There's No Way That You're Going To Believe This Story Brenda Coffee's Maya Blue A Memoir Of Survival
    2025/06/27
It was a fairy tale until it wasn’t…For a long time, that’s what successful businesswoman Brenda Coffee told herself whenever she dared to look back on her twenties and thirties. In Maya Blue: A Memoir of Survival (She Writes Press/ Distribution by Simon & Schuster; May 20, 2025), Brenda opens up about the life she once lived—and all the secrecy, madness, trauma, abuse, and danger that came with it.
Brenda details her years married to Philip Ray, the genius who conceived and developed the first desktop computer terminal, followed by the microprocessor and the first personal computer. Their infamous and isolated home in San Antonio, Texas was known as the “Spy House on the Hill” for its scandalous history of harboring Nazis spies. It was in the basement of their historic home where Philip began spending every waking moment working on his self-destructive “project,” making cocaine from scratch -- becoming addicted to it in the process.
