From questions over the resort's long-term financial performance, to debates surrounding disability access, and the latest wave of criticism aimed at so called "Disney Adults," we're asking whether these stories are really about Disneyland Paris at all or whether they reveal something much bigger about modern society.

    First, we dive into the Guardian's analysis of Disneyland Paris' finances. Despite attracting around 16 million visitors a year, posting record revenues and continuing to receive billions in new investment, reports suggest Disney has still not fully recouped its total investment in the resort after more than three decades. Is this evidence of a struggling business, or does it simply demonstrate the unique financial structure and turbulent history of Europe's most visited tourist destination? We explore what success actually means for a destination like Disneyland Paris and whether traditional financial metrics tell the whole story.
